There are only two downsides that I've come up with, and they aren't big enough to knock off stars, because I barely notice them now and am used to the bag. they are :
The exterior pockets are more or less useless. I kept some wire nuts in one of the pockets for a while, but if the pockets have stuff in them the cool buttons that keep the flaps off the ground won't engage. I like the flaps off the ground feature enough to not use the pockets.
If something comes off of a tool or you drop something, it's going to the bottom of the bag. While not impossible to get to, it is a pain. You can lose things at the bottom of some of the pockets, if you choose a tool for a space poorly or something. The little covers for my chisels are lost forever at the bottom of my chisel pocket, for example.
Overall, I love this thing. It was worth the money to me. My tools are accessible and I'm more likely to have the tool I need nearby. If it takes me too long to find a tool, then the tool is useless to me. This bag keeps my tools nearby and easy to find, so they can make me money.
BTW I'm attaching a photo I took while cleaning out my bag today of all the things I keep in it.

If you're willing to sacrifice a pocket or two, your can easily store a subcompact cordless screwdriver, drill, or impact driver, from most any "12 volt" product line, and possibly even a parts box. I ended up replacing my parts box with two smaller boxes (approx. 3-1/2" x 4" x 1") that easily fit in the pockets.
Things I think could stand some improvement:
- Using velcro to keep the strap on the handle seem like a bad idea, especially for dirty or dusty environments; I'd like to see all their bags use the same clip on the strap that newer models use. However, I haven't had the bag long enough for this to be a problem.
- Though the zippered pockets don't hinder use of the bag in any way, I consider them all but useless - unless you consider boosting the pocket count to be useful. They only really have room to hold something flat, and if you want your flat stuff to remain flat, don't put it in the outside zippered pockets - when you fold down the sides, the folds go right through the middle of the outside zippered pockets. Outside zippered pockets should be positioned so that the the folded sides fold between the pockets, not through them.
- No seal between the fabric sides and the polypropylene base leaves a way for water to get into the bag, even if the outside water level is below the zipper level.
Will this bag work for you? Probably. But if you're unsure, search through the countless pictures on the Internet and see just how many tools people are able to get into their Veto bags, then got for it. Really, you won't be disappointed.

The bag forces you to stay organized as you can't really chuck stuff in.and is very robust, its only downside is it can get quite heavy, i think the larger sized bags veto make would be to heavy for me for day to day work and would likely stay in the van for me to pick things out. Overall the best bag i have bought and worth the money.
Best tool bag I’ve ever owned, can’t believe it took me so long to buy one!
you wont regret buying this or the XL, the best bag !
