All in all, if you've done a lot of models this kit will probably drive you nuts. If you're a noobie like me then I expect you'll simply love this kit. Also, the Missouri is just so beautiful and historic that she makes for a wonderful first build. I was fortunate enough to work on Ford Island as I was building her so I got to drive past the real thing on a daily basis. I toured the ship after building this model and was struck by hour accurate the layout and gun mounts were.

All in all, if you've done a lot of models this kit will probably drive you nuts. If you're a noobie like me then I expect you'll simply love this kit. Also, the Missouri is just so beautiful and historic that she makes for a wonderful first build. I was fortunate enough to work on Ford Island as I was building her so I got to drive past the real thing on a daily basis. I toured the ship after building this model and was struck by hour accurate the layout and gun mounts were.
Side note, the kit is entirely in a flat grey so you will have to paint everything yourself. You also need to provide some string/thread as well to do the rigging as that is not included (Nor does it give you the dimensions you need to cut the thread to). Do not believe the promotional photos, yours absolutely will not look like that.
