The Coleman 5453A700 Powerpack Single-burner Low-profile Propane Stove is pretty much as easy as it gets. The Powerpack's fully adjustable flame lets you boil water or simmer chili, while the PerfectFlow system of pressure-regulated propane provides consistent cooking performance (without flaring or flickering) by producing a steady fuel stream, even in cold weather, high altitudes, or when fuel is low.

This Coleman stove is constructed of an aluminized-steel cooktop and removable, nickel-chrome grates so you spend your time on the trail instead of on cleanup duty. The large 3.25-inch, 7,500 BTU burner is to the side of the propane cylinder in a low-profile fashion that ensures this burner will always be one of Coleman's easiest and best.

Simple, solid, works well with a couple of drawbacks

Simple, solid, works well with a couple of drawbacks
Just received the burner and tested it out. It's solid enough, simple to set up and use. The two drawbacks I noticed are 1) the flame control is not fine enough, it goes from low to max high with a partial turn. Would be better if the adjustment was more gradual. Also, at the highest it's not as hot as my previous portable camp stove. Not a major problem, but not ideal. 2) the connector on the top of the propane cannister does not have a control knob, so if the burner control leaks the only way to shut off the gas flow is to unscrew the tube connecting to the side of the burner unit. That's not a quick shutoff. I had another camp stove that had a control knob also on the cannister connection which saved me when the unit had a leak in the burner control. Hope it's reliable enough that the backup disconnect is never needed, but again not ideal, and something to be aware of.
