    My one year old loves this rainmaker. It’s the perfect size for little hands. He uses it mostly to shake but will sit and watch when I turn it over for him. The only thing I wish was that the container wasn’t so blurry, my son likes to watch the balls drop down and the sides aren’t perfectly clear.

    I am giving this to my nephew who is almost a year old. The reason I chose this is that it appears rugged, colorful, and he will get instant feedback as he plays with it which will keep him engaged. I chose this size instead of the longer one because it is short enough that he should be able to manage it well independently and not hurt himself by accidentally whacking himself with it. Sometimes the longer lengths get out of control when they are swinging them around like little ninjas. I think he will like the colors, the movement, and the "rain" noise as the beads fall. It should last a long time even with banging and abuse. I am not scared of it breaking. I am guessing it would end up with a stress crack long before it would break.

    Je cherchais des maracas au début pour un éveil à la musique et aux sons, très appréciés à cet âge là.

    Et puis, outre que les maracas sont souvent en bois (donc je ne tenais pas à ce que mes murs, meubles ou autres objets soient abimés par des lancements de maracas dans les pièces de la maison). En bois et donc non transparentes, l'attractivité aurait été limitée (mis à part les "lancés" dans la maison). Du coup, je me suis orientée vers cet objet (pas trop cher d'ailleurs) qui capte l'attention de mon garçon, reste solide et suffisament "lourd" pour ne pas être lancé très loin.

    Donc en résumé : achat heureux qui va durer longtemps. Il est indiqué 6 mois sur la boite du jouet mais je trouve que c'est un peu "tôt" pour un enfant de 6 mois (l'objet pouvant lui faire ail sur la tête qui n'est pas refermée à cet âge là, enfin, c'est uniquement mon avis de Maman protectrice ;:))
