Product Description
Things to Remember when Using Oil Eater Cleaners & Degreasers, Always use on a cool surface - Always spot test in an inconspicuous area on any surface before use. The less porous the surface is (i.e. no wax floors vs. uncoated concrete) the more diluted Oil Eater should be. If the surface feels a little slippery after rinsing, add more water to your solution. Please Note: A part is whatever your unit of measure is. For example: If you were measuring in ounces, 3 parts water to 1 part Oil Eater would be – 3 ounces of water to 1 ounce of Oil Eater.

This gallon-sized powerhouse exceeded all my expectations. With just a few simple steps, I applied the Oil Eater on the oil spill, and to my amazement, it started working its magic immediately. The oil and grease began to dissolve right before my eyes, and with minimal effort, I was able to wipe away the mess effortlessly.
What truly impressed me was Oil Eater's ability to tackle heavy-duty stains. It didn't just remove the surface oil; it penetrated deep into the concrete, leaving my driveway looking as good as new. The fact that it effortlessly dissolved grease and heavy-duty stains speaks volumes about its cleaning power.
I also appreciate the versatility of Oil Eater. It's not just limited to driveways; I've since used it to clean various surfaces around my home, from my garage floor to kitchen appliances. The results are consistently outstanding.
The one-gallon size is a fantastic value for the money, considering the potency of this cleaner. A little goes a long way, making it a cost-effective solution for anyone dealing with oil spills or stubborn stains.
In conclusion, if you've ever found yourself in the unfortunate situation of spilling oil or dealing with tough stains, Oil Eater Original Cleaner and Degreaser is the answer you've been looking for. It's reliable, efficient, and an absolute must-have in any household toolkit. Say goodbye to oil stains and hello to a spotless, grease-free environment! Highly recommended.
I received this Oileater and after following the directions, the stains are gone. Excellent product.
had some oil stains in my driveway tried using it directly
scrubbed it really worked on it and I didn't find much of a difference
I was a little disappointed
but I'll be using it for something just for cleaning areas
Bonus points, use it diluted to clean off adhesive residue.
First, make sure your pump is rated for aqueous based cleaners. My pump is a Little Giant 1-EAYS which is designed for petroleum or aqueous based cleaners. It is rated for aqueous solutions up to 140F with a max PH of 12.0.
Second, Oil Eater has a PH of 12.4 to 13.0 per the MSDS. Your pump may not be rated for a PH this high (mine isn't) so I would never use this product full strength. The recommended dilution for parts washers is 1 part Oil Eater to 3 parts water. This will yield a safe PH (higher water dilutions will yield an even lower PH).
Third: Aqueous based degreasers will not clean worth a darn unless heated. The Oil Eater Flex Line Aqueous Parts Washer heats the cleaning fluid from 105F to 115F, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYkm_4xrU5s.
Your parts washer may already have a heater but mine doesn't. The Oil Eater website says "Oil Eater" can be heated to 200F, or the boiling point. I remove 1/3 to 1/2 fluid from my tank (dependent on the ambient temperature), boil it in a electric kettle then add it back to the tank. This results in a mixture temperature above the recommended for about 10 minutes. It only takes 5 to 7 minutes to boil the solution, so for as little as I use the parts washer, this is fine for me.
Fourth: If your tank is not very big, you could have a suds overflow problem. Before I modified my drain, my tank overflowed with suds in less than a minute. To prevent this I extended my drain to the bottom of the tank with 3/4" ID vinyl tubing. The additional head helps to suppress the bubbles. I also attached an Alegi 180 micron filter bag to the end of the drain tube with a tie wrap, see https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083Q4R7KB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
The filter bag decreases the bubble size and also acts as a filter for your parts washer.
The attached video has the parts washer tank before the drain modification from 0 to 16 seconds of the video and the tank after the drain modification from 17 to 45 seconds of the video. Each video segment is started when the pump switch is turned on. You can see that the drain modification prevents suds overflow.
Fifth: Since Oil Eater is water based, it needs to be kept above freezing temperatures. If you do not have a heated tank, you will not be able to use it in an unheated shed or garage. An insulated attached garage should be OK in most climates. My garage is attached and stays above freezing in northern Ohio.
After taking the precautions/modifications discussed above, my parts washer is as effective as when I used petroleum based solvents and much safer in my garage.

My husband sent me to get oil out ($100 for a tiny little bottle) and it was okay- I had to use it at a higher concentration to even make a slight difference and I definitely used it up fast! Previous I had used coke, dawn, you name it I had done it.... I decided to order this because at the price for the size I had nothing to loose
Now I booted this bad boy on straight from the bottle on old and new stains ( most of the driveway has something) . Came out a hour or so later and hit it with the pressure washer ... When I returned to see it dry I was AMAZED !!! New stains were gone old stains were hardly visible ... But it showed me how many old stains were missed 🤦 out comes the bottle again and this thin I scrubbed it in with a outdoor broom to get the whole driveway ... 2 hours go by wash it off , husband gets home and is amazed it looks like a new driveway !
Than I did it again as a spot treatment because his truck again had something fall over 😭 ... I have ordered new straps for his containers and still have plenty of this stuff for when the snow clears
Signed
Wife who's summers will now involve less time scrubbing oil spills with more money for beer 😂
