A bit large for hut-to-hut hiking
This is a great product, but the Large will be too big for my 36L pack so I'm going to try the M, S, and XS to get better distribution of the contents. These sacks work well, and simply pulling on the straps compresses the contents (yes, it forces the air out).In the picture you can see a compressed 20L (Large) sack on the bottom (it could be compressed more, but that would make it wider/fatter and wouldn't fit as well in my backpack). The ruler is 1 foot (30.5 cm). To give another sense of the dimensions, on the top left is a packable Patagonia down jacket (black) top right is a Patagonia rain jacket (red). So the Large sack ended up just over 1 foot tall and about 9 inches (23 cm) wide.In the compression sack:2 quick-dry t-shirts1 pr. convertible hiking pants2 pr. wool socks2 pr. sock liners2 pr. underwearRain pantsthermal topthermal bottomgloveswool hatsleep shirtsleep shortspolarfleece jacketsleeping bag liner
