Short take:This is 100% cotton & is labeled as being made in India. It will wrinkle if folded/scrunched up. It is NOT "ULTRA spill-resistant" & it is more of a "medium duty" than a "Heavy duty kitchen apron". Other than that, it matches the product description! It fits my size 14 body even with a light jacket on & should fit a woman up to an XXL size & it washes/dries well (on cool). If I were going to use this for cooking, I would use Scotchguard first (or even some heavy starch on the material) to protect it. It's a bargain item for light-duty work so grab it!Detailed Review:Price/quality:The price of this is really good - depending on what you need. The cotton material is that of a good flour sack cloth type of kitchen towel - but not too thin. Think medium-thin, brushed canvas cotton that is soft & feels slightly starched. The stitching is really good & I didn't see any raggedy areas on mine - they were even and straight. I'm really happy with this. For decorating:This would be decent for a simple costume as is. I don't sew but this seems like it could stand up to embroidery & patches could be ironed on. It's much like a really good quality flour sack kitchen towel & most likely will hold up to a lot of cold-water washing and light bleaching. I wouldn't make a purse or anything out of it. As a simple 5-dollar apron, it's a steal. It should last me for at least a couple of years (or more) with regular washing and bleaching.Size & Texture & Design:I'm a size 14 dress woman and this fits me very well & a woman up to an XXL size could probably comfortably wear this, no problem. The tie goes around my waist enough that I can pull the strings around to tie it in the front if I want. The neck is not tight or uncomfortable & doesn't leave the bib hanging down too low as some other aprons do.Possible downside:There are NO pockets or towel loops. However, I was able to tuck a towel into the belt as the waistline. If I wanted, I could stitch on a pocket or stitch on a folded flour sack to use as a pocket.Clothes protection:This is a really good apron for my use when baking to keep flour and other dry ingredients off my clothing. I bake a lot of bread & don't need anything fancy. I usually just drape a large flour sack towel around my waist. This keeps the flour off my clothes & I can dry my hands on the material. This is great for light baking but WON'T protect clothing water or oils.Care & cleaning:I have machine-washed & dried this once & rinsed/air-dried part of the bottom once to quickly clean off some spilled coffee. I will continue hand washing this in COLD water with a bit of Oxiclean & drying on low/cool or air-drying. Right now, in between machine-washing, I generally shake it to rid it of flour, then give any spots a quick rinse in the bathroom sink & hang it to dry. Like any kind of white cotton, this would hold onto dark & set stains. I spilled coffee with cream on the hem and rinsed treated it right away and the material came clean. If I were going to use this for cooking or anything like that, I would not want it in white! If you don't fold this between uses, it's going to wrinkle. It came out of the package looking crazy!Overall, this is so good that I might get another before it's not available or the price goes up. It's worth taking care of.
