Quick service, picture is all over the box, a suggestion for kids who "almost fit"
I ordered two Rip-Riders and they arrived within 48 hours! Thankfully, my husband was home so that he could hide them from the children's view (they are Christmas presents). I appreciate the comments/reviews that informed me the boxes would arrive with pictures of the Rip-Rider all over them. This allowed us to be on the lookout so the surprise wouldn't be spoiled. The pictures on the boxes leave no doubt to what is in them! Not sure how they perform yet... will add more later.ADD: Our girls have had their Razor Rip-Riders for several weeks now. They LOVE them. My husband easily put them together following the directions. We are impressed with the quality. They are very sturdy. My husband had a Big Wheel as a child and says these Rip-Riders put them to shame. Our daughters are 7 y/o (49" tall) and 4 y/o (43" tall). I had read the reviews prior to purchasing and was a little bit concerned that our 4 y/o (she will be 5 in a few months) might be too short to really enjoy the toy. She does have long legs though so I decided to give it a try.The 7 y/o has no trouble riding the Rip-Rider. She is a perfect fit. The 4 y/o has to scoot forward on her seat in order to have good contact with the pedals and handlebars. Although she has fun riding it, she does not experience the same thrills as our 7 y/o. This frustrated her greatly. However, my husband devised the perfect solution. He went to Walmart and bought a cheap foam mat (about $12.00) from the camping section and cut out several pieces to match the shape of the seat. He glued six pieces together with spray contact cement and used Velcro to attach the set to the back of her Rip-Riper seat. Now our 4 y/o sits on the Rip-Rider and has a layered cushioned back on her seat that brings her forward so that she has good contact with the pedals and handlebars. She can now ride it as well as her older sister. I will attempt to post a picture of what he did so that it might help others in a similar situation as us. It is a really fun toy! I wonder if Razor will ever make one for adults?!
