Product Description

In 1990, founder Ty Measom found himself both frustrated and inspired with the size and quality of the outdoor cooking equipment available. He set out to create a product that was both portable and powerful. After countless hours of brainstorming, engineering, and tinkering, the Pro60 was born—and along with it—a company to pioneer the camp-cooking industry. The simple, yet durable design was applauded by outdoorsmen everywhere. Since then we’ve added griddles and grill box attachments, a variety of cast iron pieces, and more recently—pellet grills. Over the past 30 years, our product line has expanded, but our objective remains the same—provide a better way to cook outdoors.

We’ve raised the steaks in the outdoor cooking industry. So, we challenge you to ask yourself if your cooking equipment is tough enough for the task. Whether you’re barbecuing on the back patio or backpacking in Bolivia—delicious food is attainable despite your coordinates. So, get out there. Make memories with the people you love. Experience the beauty of nature. Feed your outside however you want with the durability, versatility, portability, and power of Camp Chef.

It boiled a tea pot of water and cook cinnamon buns as expected
So I received my Camp Chef oven on Thursday I took it out of the box on Friday to do a test run. Upon unboxing it I noticed the styrofoam was broken on the top Corner when I got it out of the box upon further inspection there was a dent in the corner on the side. in the front there was chipped enamel on the top. The leg was bent, screws in the bottom seem to be shifted from being banged. Fired the grill up. Worked just fine, boiled a tea pot of water in less than 10 minutes. Preheated the oven cooked cinnamon buns in 10 to 12 minutes they were perfectly done. Oven temp did show that it was 550 I don't think that was a accurate readingI am going to get a different one to use also. In the 641 reviews that I read ,the common complaint was the temperature gauge did not working accurately, also damaged product, broken glass, dents, poor packaging. Some sort discount should be offered when you have received damaged goods that still are workable and to big and bulky to send backAnd hold up the process of getting a new one. This is an ongoing issue that's in a lot of reviews. People need to be aware of this. Other than that I love it so far, has worked as expected will give an update the more that I do with it. Also Amazon has the option that allows you to have your packages delivered without it showing what the package is, meaning they put it in one of their own boxes. I requested that, to only have it delivered totally exposed showing what it was. where I live, I live on a busy street and UPS leaves things on my doorstep. I don't have a problem with UPS because that's the way we've done it. I asked for special delivery instructions that were not followed by Amazon.UPDATE October 13,2018Today I cooked a 3 & a half pound chuck roast, three and a half hours in my garage with the door open. Kept it covered the whole time with tin foil cooked in cream of mushroom soup. dee-licious!!!!!! Did a fabulous job cooking it temperature gauge is way off though. Said it was 600 Degrees the whole time that I was cooking, the gauge that I bought to put in it said that it was between 375 and 400. Have to keep your eye on it but it did very well!
