This is, by far, the best cookie press I ever used. I've broken or gotten very frustrated with many plastic ones. I love the push down action as opposed to the squeeze action. This is the first press that produced multiple rows of cookies using one press each. Remember, though, that the success of any cookie press depends a lot on the cookie dough used. With the right dough, this press works beautifully.

I REALLY wanted to like this cookie press. I searched and searched to replace my old Mirro hand crank one. This was not the one. Thank goodness I still have my old one!

Instructions? Not really. Basic, one-line instructions with no diagrams. I worked for over an hour and couldn't get this press to do anything. Turning the regulator was nearly impossible. How do I know if I'm at size 1 or 2? No indication, even if I COULD get the thing to turn. Never could get the ratcheting to work either, maybe because I couldn't get the regulator to work!

I am sending this back as defective/does not work. Based on the reviews I read, I have to assume the press I got is defective, because others didn't seem to have this much trouble. All in all, a very frustrating, time-consuming afternoon spent working with this cookie press.

As an aside, the barrel is VERY small and narrow. I know I'm spoiled with my old Mirro, but this is ridiculous!

I like the look of the press. There are a few things I don't like about it. First the lever to change size of cookies it very hard to move and I can see this breaking in time. Second the lever to dispense cookie dough is inconsistent and dough can't be stiff at all or it jump out of the slot. The dough recipe included is too stiff I had to add water to it to make it more pliable. For the money I am a bit disappointed. I did read the reviews and that is why I went with this one. Hope this helps someone else.
