Ingredients
One Kyrosol single dose contains: glycerol (321.0mg), sodium carbonate (21.4mg) and purified water.
Directions
Wax Dissolving Process. 1) Lie down on one side (or tilt your head sideways). 2) Pull your external ear out-backwards and place 10 drops of the ear wax dissolving solution into the ear. 3) Keeping the dropper bottle in your hand for a few minutes to let the contents warm up will make the procedure more comfortable. 4) Remain lying on your side and let Kyrosol work in your ear for approximately 20-30 minutes. Rinsing Process: 1) Heat up a few cups of water and let cool to body temperature. 2) Extract the water into the ear washer, insert the tip of the syringe into the ear canal and carefully irrigate the ear while leaning over a wash basin or sink. 3) Repeat the irrigation a few times. Should you feel pain throughout the process, contact your doctor. If the ear wax plug does not dissolve the first time, repeat the treatment for an additional 1-2 days. In order to prevent recurrence of ear wax plugs, Kyrosol may be used one (1) to two (2) times per month.

I have really struggled over the years with ear wax. I used to be able to make an appointment with my clinic nurse to get my ears syringed. Then I moved clinics, and now I had to make an appointment with the GP who had to give the go ahead, then I could make an appointment at a later date to see the clinic nurse for syringing. So finally I go along, the GP sees no wax, tells me my ears are clear, and refers me to the ear nurse for a hearing test?! The ear nurse took one look and says no your ears are full of wax and proceeded to suction out enough wax to make a couple of birthday candles. So she had me on every three months for suctioning, until I asked to be referred to the ear specialist about another issue, at which point I dropped off the ear nurse's list. That was about a year ago now.
This all started about 2-3 years back, and I've been hunting for an ear syringe since, without success. I have dabbled with ear suction devices, but they never make the suction strong enough, and I've never managed to get to the deep down wax. Sometimes not one iota of wax comes out, even though I know it's there, my ears have been hurting with the wax lately, every time I blow my nose. I think I dislodged some itching my ear eczema.
This system though, I like. My ears are the cleanest they've ever been by my own hands. The nozzle is very well designed, it has all these holes around it, so the wax can just come straight out. So many systems, the nozzle blocks the whole canal off - I don't know where the wax is meant to come out. The drops are also great, they're gentle so they don't irritate my ear eczema, and they don't fizz and pop inside like the peroxide ones - which I find irritating as sometimes it's a day before you can get all the fizzing liquid out. Also it was very effective, I put cotton wool in my ear to turn over to the other side, and when I took the cotton wool out, it was the most wax staining I'd ever seen on cotton wool after using such drops, and I've used a lot of different types. Then, I rinsed using the syringe, and wow the amount of wax that came out! Well, it didn't seem that much, but I don't believe I've ever got that much wax out that easily. I've noticed my TV volume creeping up over the past couple of months, but when I came out of the bathroom after cleaning my ears, I had to turn my TV back down to the level I started at, and even that sounds too loud now.
I really don't think anyone will regret buying this system, yes it will probably take commitment, but most worthwhile things do, and it says to use it only once or twice a month to prevent ear wax buildup and I think I can handle that. I guess I'll have to use it a few times this week because the wax has been building up for a while, but it's a lot more convenient than having to go the doctor every time, and it seems just as effective.
Oh, and now I can blow my nose fully, without that pain you get from ear wax blockage, that was about the first thing I did, and it was great.
Afterword: the ear plugs did not work for me, leaked terribly. Better to use cotton wool when you change sides, don't use it upright like it says you could if you want. I actually think next time I'll do one ear to completion including the rinsing and then do the second ear, my first ear went so long with the liquid drained before I rinsed, and I didn't get as much out of that one. The second ear I was even getting the black compacted deep wax out, maybe it just had more wax in, but I don't think so.
After 30 minutes I rinsed with the syringe that came in the kit, and I could really feel the pressure and coverage. Sometimes it is hard to get all parts of the three-way nozzle directed into the ear (you have to really push it in there), but I could feel the spray for sure. I did not have anything dramatic happen after the first 30-minute soak, but my left ear certainly wasn't any worse.
That leads to the fact this is sort of a two-product review: I then used Debrox drops (same evening, sale left ear) and let them in there for a while using the earplug that came with this Squip kit. When I rinsed after that, I could see wax flecks in the sink. Nothing dramatic, but with some palm suction (classic press into the ear with the fleshy part of the palm then "pop" it off), I felt the ear canal clear up in a way I hadn't for months.
The next evening I worked the right ear (same process, starting with the Kyrosol drops), and got some wax loosened up. No dramatic improvement, but my right ear is not nearly as plugged. I decided to Debrox the left ear again, using the earplug once more to leave some drops in for more than an hour. I then rinsed with the Squip rinser and when I reached in with my pinky finger for a final clear-out I pulled out a clump of wax the size of a cashew half. Sorry, no pictures, I don't want to gross anyone out. *smile* Let's just say my wife and I were impressed with the glob that came out.
Anyway, my left ear is now REALLY clear. The alarm clock this morning was as piercing as I can recall for years (it is hard to judge improvement over time, but it felt pronounced). I am going to work on my right ear again this evening because it seems like a two-day approach gets stuff loosened up more.
In summary, the earplug and rinser in this Squip kit are very effective, and the Kyrosol drops provide a good start to getting things loosened up. I do think the Debrox drops are more effective, though, as you can feel them sort of percolating more in the ear, a sensation I did not feel with the Kyrosol. As a 1-2 punch, though, over a couple days, it is very likely you will get results with the Kyrosol/Debrox combination. All for just $16 -- about the same as you might pay on a co-pay to have a physician root things out for you.
It kind of works I guess? I'm not sure I wouldn't have got just as much out by just doing the water flush.
I find the whole thing a little difficult to tolerate- the laying down for 30 minutes just to work on one ear (so over 60 minutes to do both) and the entire time it itches like mad, the shooting the syringe of water into the ear, the noise it makes when your tube of water is empty and shoots out a tiny bit of air which ultimately made my ears ring a little and hurt- I don't like anything about the process.
If it had worked better, the rest would have been loads more tolerable. For stubborn buildup, you are supposed to do this like 3 days in a row, but it takes more than an hour due to the wait time. Who has that kind of time? Finding 3 spare hours to lay around unable to do anything in one week is not an easy achievement.
Further, I'll be at a point where my ears are itching and if I stick my finger in I end up with wax on it (gross I know) and I'll use this product and end up with little to nothing coming out. On subsequent uses, I've been unable to get anything out.
I know it's there, that has been confirmed by my doctor and my index finger (yuck) but I'm not seeing any real help from this product.

Follow the instructions on the Squip Removal kit carefully and I do suggest leaving the Kyrosol solution in there for a good 30 mins before rinsing. Anyways I followed the instructions to the T and had excellent results. 2 big globs of ear wax were successfully removed from my ear and my hearing has now returned back to normal. And for those of you who don't believe me.. I took pics. Enjoy :)
