This hood fan also seems easy to clean, looks nice and I am very excited to have it in my house. I will update later on as it gets used more.

Installed quickly since you can screw straight through the front or back wall of the unit to a 2x4 you place in the front and back of it.
Very quiet for its power. Clears my kitchen of an entire 20" cast iron skillet of bacon with ease!
Replacement of this unit would also be easy due to its design.
I thought the color would bother me not being stainless, but it is so slim and hidden (maybe only 3/8" reveal below mounting surface) I can not see the unit to know its not a different color. I will not be messing with it since it works so well.
I also originally purchased the Broan LT30 30N T-Shape Hood Liner for PM250 and PM390, Silver, 30-Inch Silver, but was able to build my own opening for it out of simple 2x4's and finish grade 3/4" plywood and paint the mounting surface with high gloss white to resist oil saturation. Works awesome and is easy to clean.
I likey...
I'd give this unit a Five star, but I have to take something away for the noise factor. If you need it on high often, do not expect to hear anyone in the adjoining room. Questionable on medium, without yelling and possible on low, simply speaking up a little/lot.
We'll have to wait to see about durability, but appears to be a very solid unit.
The lights are two candelabra based bulbs. Meaning the kind you'd put in a chandelier. Strange as that may seem. It takes 40 watt maximum and is useful light, but certainly not enough by itself to see what you are cooking.
I like it. And it was perfect and easily fitted into our custom built cabinets.
BTW- ordering from amazon is so much easier than going to the big-box store - talking to Tony who asks all kinds of questions, learns you're building, so tries to sell you appliances and X # year warranties, before telling you they do not carry them in-store and will have to order it, and since he really doesn't know exactly what you are talking about, you may or may not get what you need when HE orders it.
Fan has 3 settings. Low is pretty quiet, high is somewhat noisy but not bad. The controls are sliders. The fan has 3 distinct settings: low, medium, and high. This unit plugs in; it is not designed to be hard-wired.
I bought this to go with the Broan LB30 30-Inch Hood Liner . I bought an older home that had an empty-inside wood hood (no over stove cabinet) and thought the liner would slip right in there, we pop the fan in, and that's it. I downloaded all the instructions, spec sheets, etc., I could find online ahead of time.
The instructions (both from the web and from the box) when utilizing the liner are confusing. My contractor had to call the 800# for advice and that person told him that the liner is not designed to hold up the fan. He said you have to either have a cabinet or build a box. In effect, the liner is just to cover up the wood, protect it, and give a stream-lined look.
After some discussion we decided to just use the liner to hold up the fan and it seems very solid. The liner installs with the opening pointing down (concave), so the bottom of the fan unit ends up 4" above the bottom of the hood and is hidden. I posted some photos.
It's slightly awkward reaching under and/or looking under to locate and move the switches which are on the bottom of the fan unit. I'm sure it will become automatic with use.
For my situation, this unit combined with the liner were perfect. The finished project looks very professional and was way less costly than a custom hood. It was not possible to find a matching cabinet in order to install a ready-made under-cabinet fan unit. The cost for this fan unit, the liner, and labor was less than or equal to what it would have cost for an off-the-shelf fan unit, non-matching over-stove cabinet, and labor.
