Was looking for the 4 oz bottle of liquid but received the equivalent of the 2 oz spray bottles. Ordered 4 so got 8 spray bottles. Not what is pictured or described! Too expensive for what was provided.

I have purchased this before to get the Lawn Boy, weed eater and generator started. It worked just as advertised.

I KNOW it says for 2 and 4 cycle engines.

But yesterday, I had the mechanic out to help start a 1982 Suburban that hadn't been started in 5 years. Hooked up the battery charger and tried to fire it up. With a lot of starting fluid, finally got it running. But the carb floats were stuck. Gas was running all over. The can of carb cleaner was out of air so that idea was out. Thumped the heck out of the side of the carb to loosen the floats. No luck.

Asked the mechanic what he thought about using this stuff. He read the label. Said it probably wouldn't hurt. We dumped the entire can down the float holes. Waited about 5 minutes. AMAZING-all the gunk in the floats got eaten away in just a few minutes and the Suburban ran like a top. Started it up again just a few minutes ago. FLAWLESS. Now out to the desert I go today.

Even the mechanic was surprised it worked so well. He is a firm believer in Stabil fuel stabilizer but had never heard of this product from the same manufacturer. While we were waiting we were discussing how much to rebuild the carb or buy an new AFB carb (about $400).

I am sold on this product. It REALLY, REALLY works and sure beats the heck out of a high dollar repair job.

I have a snowblower that I have always maintained properly, until this year. I didn't get around to it in the spring, and then I forgot about it until about a month ago. I added fresh gas to what had been left in the tank, and of course it wouldn't start no matter how many times I pulled the rope. I had never heard of this product, and I was a bit skeptical at first. Then I read the other reviews and figured it was worth a shot. After I received the product, I tried starting the snowblower again before I added it. Still nothing. Then I added the "Start Your Engines". It started on the first pull. I let it run for a good ten minutes just to make sure it was okay. I then let it cool off a bit, and it started right up again. I will try to start it again in a couple of days, but I am pretty confident that it will. This product is worth every penny. Now, if it could just remind me to do the maintenance in the first place.

I bought this product from Walmart off the shelf and it worked really well this product is not the same and it does not work as well

Don't throw-out your non-starting (insert small engine equipment here), this product works! After struggling with non starting snow blowers for years I was ready to go to battery snow blowers. But I found this and thought, "can't hurt to try". Gave my gas tank a 15 second shot of this, (it only had a quarter tank full) and let it sit for a little over an hour. Gave the primer 3 squeeze's, full choke and "viola"! One pull on the starter cord and she fired right up. Did not have to pull the carb to clean or anything else. Save yourself some time, money and aggravation and try this. It really works.

Product worked well, got a wood chipper that has not started without starting fluid for 3 years to start on the first pull, something it newer did since I've owned it.

Also a weed wacker that had been in storage for 2 years.

However on a snow blower that was in storage for 10 years, it worked too good. Something that was likely held together by gunk, began to leak.

So for something that's been in storage for a real long time. Check first for hoses etc. that have physically deteriorated before using.

I decided to try to get my walk behind snowblower going. It had not been started in 5 years. I drained out the old gas and used the start your engine with some fresh gas. The snowblower started on the 3rd pull. Good stuff !!

I have a 2 cycle snow blower that I recently lugged out of storage and wanted to make sure it was in running condition. Well naturally after a year of not starting the engine, and leaving the old fuel mixture in the tank, I couldn't start the engine. I knew I was facing a visit to my nearby lawn mower shop for a carb and fuel system cleaning. I read some of the reviews on this product and figured I'd give it a shot, and am I happy I did. I drained the old fuel, and without any service of any kind added fresh fuel and attempted to start the engine....No go, the engine would not start. I added several ounces of Start, and let it sit for about a half an hour, and the machine started with only a few pulls on the starter cord. Amazing, and this stuff saved me a $75 maintenance bill. I am now always going to have Start on my workbench.

It works like a charm. My gas engine was purr-r-r-ring within minutes of adding it.
I would definitely consider ordering it again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading advert

Fine print says the carb needs to be clean and the engine able to run (gas getting to the engine). So misleading in the advert. Wasted my money.
