Clean First, make sure your leather is clean. We recommend using Bickmore Saddle Soap for general cleaning or Bick 1 for tougher stains. Always test cleaners on a small, hidden area before use.	Apply Once clean, apply Bick 4 Leather Conditioner directly with your hands or with a soft cloth. Gently work the conditioner into the leather. Do NOT use on suede, roughout, distressed, or napped leathers.	Dry Allow Bick 4 Leather Conditioner to absorb into leather and wait until dry.	Buff Buff leather with a Bickmore Shine Cloth. Repeat as necessary to achieve desired finish.

So far so good! I've used this as a step in caring for my leather. So far I've used it on my Blundstone boots and a thrifted Coach wallet. It worked great on both items and didn't change the color of the leather. I applied a dime-quarter sized amount and massaged it in. I've used it with a cloth and with just my hands and didn't see a difference. I haven't tested it for waterproofing yet.

Bick 4 Leather Conditioner and Leather Cleaner 8 oz arrived today. I was able to use on a used leather coat to clean, soften and renew the leather. Awesome results in less than 20 minutes. Water resistant? I would not wear leather in the rain intentionally. as a rain coat.
Considering the Bick Leather Conditioner ingredients it should help., but, wouldn't recommend a leather coat in place of a raincoat.

Specifically bought this conditioner in the hopes that it wouldn't drastically darken my boots. I've seen horror stories online of similar boots becoming almost black with most usual conditioners. Usually I don't mind, but when maintaining color is important, bick 4 seems to do the trick. Don't get me wrong they DID darken slightly, but the copper rough and tough is STILL copper rough and tough. The leather still has its natural distressed look and light spots, all while feeling supple and looking "healthier" if that makes any sense. Just don't over do it and you should be fine. It also has a slightly chemically smell while applying it if that bothers you.

I have tried mink oil, honey leather conditioner, dubbin, beeseal, and neatsfoot oil, but this shoe cream beats them all. If you want a shoe conditioner that does just enough but doesn't over moisturize your leather this is a great choice. I will use mink oil once a year and bick4 maybe twice, or 3 times if the shoes/boots are getting wet and drying frequently. Great light leather conditioner that does very little to change the colour of the leather
