Very sharp and lightweight.
This knife is highly rated for a reason. It slices through bread like the proverbial hot knife through butter. Some reviews complain that it is too flexible. I did not find this to be true. It's no where near as flexible as a good fillet knife. It may be a little more flexible than some other bread knives but I haven't found it to an issue. You're cutting bread not a joint of beef. The main point is that it is very sharp. A couple swipes and it's through a tall loaf of homemade bread.Japanese steel, full tang, wood handle. It's perfect for cutting bread.

5.0 out of 5 stars great for left-handed or right
Reviewed in Canada on July 4, 2023
Excellent knife. Nice wooden handle feels comfortable in the hand. Saw some discussions about ‘left’ or ‘right’ handed knives… true this knife, as most (all?) bread knives is sharpened on one side, the right side as you hold it in front of you to use it. I’m left handed. Honestly, no issues, no awkwardness, no need to compensate, no pulling dragging- not like scissors- (you lefties know what I mean…)
Lightweight. Sharp serrations (not ‘wavy’ or ‘scalloped’ edge) great for cutting crusty bread or soft tomatoes. And great value. Excellent knife at a great price.
