This boomerang is very durable polypropylene and highly visible bright orange . I don't recommend for beginners . These traditional shaped boomerangs are more challenging to throw and make return than the 3 and 4 bladed ones . This boomerang has some basic throwing instructions molded right into the plastic on the back . Overall , this is a nice boomerang , but takes a bit more skill .

I started throwing boomerangs about a year ago and I’ve now tried at least half a dozen different types. Each one takes a while to get used to and dialed in but, out of everything I’ve tried, I would have to say that so far, this boomerang is my favorite. It’s not too difficult to throw but still a nice challenge. It can be thrown a good distance and it doesn’t cause too many bruises when you catch it. It responds well when you alter the throwing inputs and once you’ve dialed things in you can make consistent catches. (So far, my max. is 17 consecutive catches). In light winds i can consistently get it to return to me within a few feet. FYI, I did sand down some of the edges (plastic flashing) to make it smoother.

Previous review: Flies reasonably well and is easy to catch. I've had a lot of fun with it but I was hoping it would be better; it's a little slow and it doesn't keep its shape as well as I thought it would.

A lot of fun, and pretty easy to use- my son watched a video or 2 of how to properly throw a boomerang and was doing pretty well right away. Unfortunately, he pretty quickly got it stuck in a very high tree branch. We were able to shake it loose using a bouquet of helium balloons LOL (it was his bday ). The bad news-- when it fell from the branch, it came through another tree and snapped in half when it hit it. Sooo, that was unexpected. That said, he had so much fun with it, and was so bummed, I ordered him a replacement the next day. We wound up ordering another one a day later to give as a gift for my other son because it was so much fun. Long story short, it's a fun toy, it works well, but thrower beware, if you are even a little bit close to any trees at all, it could end badly. But totally worth it.

This is my first boomerang. I never threw one before.

I also purchased a "Mantis" boomerang from "Legacy Boomerangs" website which is supposed to be better at round tripping.

I played w/ the Mantis until after a couple of hours I managed to have it return back. I was excited.

At one time the Mantis got stuck on the tree so I started using the Polypropylene Pro Boomerang. I actually love it more than the Mantis! :)
After getting used to it, I have a higher success rate to throw it and have it return.

Because it is a bit heavier than the Mantis, it works great when there is wind.

It is really fun. I totally recommend it. It works after you get a hang of it.

Be careful, it can hurt badly if it hits someone, so practice when there are no people around.

Im 29 years old, bought it as a gift for my son, just to be clear this shouldnt be used by kids, im pretty sure it says so, he got some foam ones made by this same company and learned the basics then started using this one, man does it go, we have 6 acres and it goes like a whole 3/4 of a acre and loops back when I chuck it. I tried catching it though and it did hurt so i wouldnt recommend for young kids but with supervision this is a blast! great material and highly visible

I am brand new to boomerang stuff. Three days I struggled, the boomerang was refusing to return. Now I am able to make it to return closer to me and sometimes I catch too. It has fallen many times on the hard surfaces and nothing happened except some scratches and small peel offs on the boomerang. Trim it off, throw again. the bright orange lights up in the sun for high visibility! I can't imagine any boom is a fool proof toss, the flight path when thrown right is perfect! Flys about 25-30 meters before starting to make its' turn. Probably makes 40 meter in total distance away from you during flight, throwing harder just makes the return go off course.
