I had been trying to wean my son off the bottle. Here's a little background on him. He was breastfed until 18 months old and he definitely wasn't ready to quit, but I was pregnant so I was. He wouldn't drink milk from a cup, so desperate as I was, I finally got him to take a Dr. Brown's bottle. 5 months later, I needed to quit being lazy and get this boy off the bottle. We tried several cups which he refused milk in every single one. I weaned my daughter off 4 years ago she refused to take a cup with milk in it, so she ended up just never drinking milk. I did not want that to happen again, so although this is a baby cup, I purchased it as a baby step to switch from bottle to sippy. He definitely threw a fit for a whole day, but ended up taking this cup with milk. It has been a lifesaver! So if you have a stubborn little one that needs to make the transition from bottle to sippy, give this a try!

We will probably use this cup for quite a while in the future. They do not leak and he has to suck pretty hard to get liquid out but he manages just fine. We don't use this cup with milk because we still add cereal to his milk and it's a bit to thick to come out of the holes but he drinks all of his juice and water out of his sippy cup. Great buy for anyone trying to transition from the bottle to the cup.

Our 12 month old only took Dr. Brown's bottles since he was 6 weeks old. I was getting super tired of all the parts about a month ago but he wasn't ready to let go of the bottle completely. This is the perfect in between option for parents who are over the multi-piece bottles and for babies who aren't quite ready to give the bottle up. He took to it right away and since the handles are where he usually put his hands on the bottle, he automatically began using the handles. He has started to use sippy cups at meals which before he was not having. I bought 8, replaced all of the Dr. Brown bottles, and was thrilled. My ONLY complaint is that I wish the actual bottle top with the nipple was attached to the handle (handle is removable from bottle AND cap/nipple). But this is good for parents who want to buy just as a bottle first and want to add the handle later. It can be a bit of a pain to lock the two together at times but nothing that would stop me from buying this again.

I am really pleased with this sippy cup. After spending what felt like forever with research on what sippy cups are better than others, (first time mom, can you tell?! ;) ) I finally chose one by Nuk because my son seemed to do well with their smaller cup when he was about 5 months old. Well, it turned out that this version was a home run as well! He took to it so easily, which I think the handles played a big part in. The liquid does not flow too fast from the cup, which for my one year old, is perfectly fine since he is just transitioning from bottle to cup. It doesn't however, come out too slow either where your child will get frustrated. I haven't had any issues with leaking or spills either. Honestly, don't waste your time like I did reading conflicting and confusing reviews on other cups. This learner cup is convenient, easy to clean, and most importantly my son loves it!

I had him on the 9oz Avent bottle with the removable handle.

I'm able to add Gerber's stage 2 oatmeal and blended fruits in milk for him for a quick breakfast drink and he's able to drink through the premade cuts in the sprout with no problem( I thought I was going to have to add an extra opening, but no need)
This 10oz is ok but wish this came with more ounces.
Sprout is soft and parts are super easy to clean. I'm hoping he doesn't chew through this soft sprout (his prone to do that)

I gave 4 stars only cause the lid does NOT prevent the liquid from spilling in the lid when shaking to mix milk and food, it splashes in the lid which will be inconvenient when out if it tips over.
I had a newbornn nuk bottle previously and the lid had the same issue.

If you are trying to switch your baby from a bottle to a sippy cup then you have found the right sippy cup. I have tried every single sippy cup at Walmart and target for my child and he refused to use any of them. This has been my go to sippy cup introduction for both of my kids. I have recommended this to all of my friends that we're having trouble with introducing a sippy cup and they all bought it and swore by it. Do not hesitate to buy the sippy cup. It was easy The transition from the scarf to a fully plastic cup. Just make sure that you buy spare nipples in case your child cuts the nipple open while biting on it.
