The Ultimate Trailside Companion

When weight and space are at a premium, the best option and really the only option for riders who want true utility, is the M19. Crank Brothers wants to have your back whenever and wherever you need it. Simply put, the M19 is durable, tough and built to withstand every trail and every mile.

Features

High Tensile Steel with a Precise Fit

The foundation of the M19 is the materials that comprise the frame and tools themselves. The frame is lightweight and durable 6061-t6 precipitation hardened aluminum alloy, with side grips on the either side for a secure handhold even with gloves on. The tools themselves are high tensile steel, hardened for extreme durability and made to withstand even the most drastic climates. Top it all off with three different finish options and you have the pinnacle of multi-tools.

Stainless Steel Tool Flask Included

Crank Brothers not only wants to provide a durable and effective multi tool, they also want it to be convenient. That’s why the M-19 comes with a stylish tool flask, keeping water and moisture out so rust doesn’t damage the beautifully minimalistic appearance. The tool flask also helps eliminate rattling and damage to the other items in your saddle bag, rucksack, or whatever your preferred riding luggage is.

8/9/10/11/12 Speed Chain Tool

On a bike tour or bikepacking trip, you’re going to need a chain splitter, and that immediate rush of relief when you pull out your M19 and realize that Crank Brothers didn’t just throw this together is going to come over you like a cool breeze. The 17-4 ph stainless steel chain tool with 8/9/10/11/12 speed capabilities is always handy and works like a charm, whether you’re in your workshop or on the side of gloomy road.

Excellent service tool.
5 Stars
Excellent service tool.
Works exactly like I hoped, first time I used it I installed a new chain on my 10 speed Trek Stache 5, it uses a Kmc X10 chain. I broke the chain three times with absolutely no problem. Only trick is figuring out the easiest way to hold it for enough leverage. The old chain broke easy, the new was a bit stiffer but I had zero problem. Fits every single bolt ect on my bike, with the exception of the bleed hex screw on top of the lever, they are tektro brakes. It fits the other two on the lever but tektro decided to make the bleed screw different, maybe to help advoid opening it on accident. I don’t carry my bleed kit on my person and if I did it has the little wrench for that. All around a perfect tool. I added the O-ring to the chain breaker as another reviewer recommended. I didn’t see any problem but had the correct one and it does keep it snug! You can see it in my attached picture

5.0 out of 5 stars Robust and respectably weighty
Reviewed in India on November 27, 2017
I like the respectable weight of the multi tool. Looks and feels good and robust and not cheapo at all. It's just arrived and I am yet to put it to any real use on the road. However, have used at home to tinker with things like saddle height a bit, the handle angle, brifter angle etc. Did the job pretty well. Any hex key would do it too but this gives you a good weighty feel. The tools are a bit hard as of now. I am sure they will ease up a bit with use. The aluminium case is fairly decent too but the lid on top can be a pain to open. It stays in my saddle bag along with the spare tube.
Addition on June 24, 2018 - Used the chain tool to break a chain link at home for practice. Worked like a charm. All the items that were stiff have eased up, including the lid of the aluminium case. I am glad that I bought this very useful tool. Folding the tool back has to be precise. Otherwise it doesn't enter the case. But that's fine. Just shows it's a precision engineered product. Every micron matters.
