They also say it looks just like the picture, moves evenly, and does not drag on the ground.

245 customers mention139 positive106 negative

Customers are mixed about the quality of the lawn mower. Some mention that it does its job well, while others say that it's not designed well and the grass catcher was showing wear after six months. The handle is weak and will bend, but it won't break. The blade dulled quicker than it should have, and the clippings collect on the bar at the back of the blades.

"...The mower performed well, although the longer the grass, the more passes I had to make in order to capture the stray grasses and weeds that evaded..." Read more

"...Only real con is maybe the clipping bag which I did not bother with (reason for 4/5 stars), and the fact that this will not cut weed/invasive heavy..." Read more

152 customers mention78 positive74 negative

Customers are mixed about the sharpness of the lawn mower. Some mention that it cuts great, does a great job at cutting the normal grass, and is smooth and precise. However, others say that it's not suitable for cutting tall grass, or weed stems longer than a certain length. The mower itself works well, but it doesn't cut as smoothly as a gas powered or, tall grass down making it impossible to cut, and the cuts started looking ragged and uneven.

"...This reel mower does a great job at cutting the normal grass...." Read more

"...so little, and is so smooth on the bottom, that the grass trimmings are either falling out or you're stopping to empty it again...." Read more

"...across my lawn" with this over uneven ground and it will cut the grass smoothly (think 5-6 inche differences on average due to tree roots)...." Read more

"...Also, it cannot cut weed stems longer than certain length, such as stems of dandelions...." Read more

51 customers mention27 positive24 negative

Customers are mixed about the noise of the lawn mower. Some mention that it makes little noise, while others say that the blades are rubbing and making an awful sound. Sharpening the mower is also noisy, and the grass catcher is a joke.

"...I love the sound of the spinning reel, I love the ease with which the mower glides over the lawn, and I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that it..." Read more

"...It screeches very loudly, like someone sharpening a knife at all times that it is being pushed. It is super light, probably too light...." Read more

"...have a mower that takes up little space and is quiet, I would greatly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a little work..." Read more

"...Sharpening is noisy, but not difficult. My local mower shop said he can't sharpen this mower. Not sure why...." Read more

59 customers mention6 positive53 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the suction of the lawn mower. For example, they mention that the grass catcher keeps falling off, the blades get stuck all the time, and the rear wheels keep coming off.

"...One thing I dislike about this mower is that it really does not handle sticks well at all...." Read more

"...It falls off from time to time while mowing. For my 0.2+ acre yard, it falls off regularly 5+ times every weekend...." Read more

"...as I saw before mowing, but every about 10-20 seconds a stick got caught in the blades and I had to feel around the blades to find it and remove it..." Read more

"...are trying to mow your lawn and there are sticks they get caught in the blades very easily...." Read more

Cuts Great Out of the Box

Cuts Great Out of the Box
This arrived after days of perpetual rain. After assembling, which consisted of tightening six bolts, I couldn’t wait to try it out. The ground was too soggy for a riding mower or even a powered push mower. Even this little mower sank into the wet ground in places. Much to my surprise, though, it cut the still-wet grass perfectly. For two weeks, I’ve been mowing a little at a time between rainstorms. I’ve cut through 6 inch grass without problem. Wild onions and some thicker weeks don’t cut at all, some weeds need a few passes.I’ve found that 20-90 minutes a day and my large back yard was completely mowed in a few days. I figure if I use it a few minutes every day, I may not need the riding mower much at all. I can throw in earbuds and listen to podcasts, I find mowing with this mower quite relaxing. It’s easier to push and maneuver than my gas-powered push mower. The grass catcher doesn’t hold a lot, but it is helpful for filling up my compost bin. It’s easy to get on and off the mower.Sticks do stop it dead in its tracks, even tiny sticks. That’s just the nature of these mowers. But I’ve been amazed at how much this mower will cut. I really hope it holds up over the long run.
