What's in the box
From the manufacturer
Before making your purchase, find out what type of speakers you will be replacing. You can simply measure the existing speakers and go from there. If you do not have any to begin with, a local Audio/Video shop can guide you with a few simple questions about your vehicle.
Most of the time you will be able to drop them right in with little to no alterations needed. Pay close attention to the RMS power handling of the speakers you are purchasing. This is the continuous power that a speaker can handle without distorting.
Your head unit will have to have the proper number of speaker outputs compared to how many speakers you plan to hook up to it, as well as sufficient power from the built-in amplifier. Sometimes though, a separate or external amplifier will have to be employed so that your speakers get the adequate power they need for optimal performance.

Product guides and documents
Product Description
Product Description
Fully Marinized (Water Resistant With UV Protection)
This product is fully marinized but not waterproof. Since the MRWT69 lives near the water almost all the time, all of the major components such as the spider, surround, etc. have been specially coated to have the protection that they need from corrosion that is present in a humid and salty environment. The outside shell also has an ultraviolet coating to protect it from the damaging effects of the sun by maintaining material integrity and keeping them looking new.
Cone – Poly Injection
Polyurethane, categorized as a polymer, is a resilient, flexible, and durable manufactured material that can take the place of paint, cotton, rubber, metal, or wood in thousands of applications across virtually all fields. It can be hard like fiberglass, squishy like upholstery foam, protective like varnish, bouncy like rubber, or sticky like glue. In the specific case of our cones, this material allows for maximum flexibility that produces great sounding speakers lasting you a long, long time.
Surround – Butyl Rubber
Butyl Rubber is a synthetic (man made) substance and is valued for its chemical inertness, impermeability to air, and the ability to endure or resist exposure to many types of weather fronts. Butyl rubber has applications from sports equipment to automotive parts, the medical industry, and more. We use them for the surrounds that connect the cone to the basket. Did you know that most modern chewing gum uses food-grade butyl rubber as the central gum base, which contributes not only the gum's elasticity but an obstinate, sticky quality? Just like that chewing gum, the Butyl Rubber Surround in our speakers can take the equivalent amount of abuse without quitting on you.
Voice Coil – High Temperature Aluminum
One of the most abundant elements on earth, Aluminum is remarkable for its low density and for its ability to resist corrosion. It is nonmagnetic (does not have any magnetic properties) and does not easily ignite. This solid material has the ability to perform under stress in both high tension and high compression environments. Aluminum is relatively soft, making it one of the more ideal materials to use in voice coils.
Midrange & Tweeter – Mylar
For a modern edge, the best car speaker could be the high tech Mylar tweeter, as it generally has more ability for a wider variance of sound modifications and channel handling. Unlike paper cones, the Mylar has a higher rate of durability, as the cone is made of a plastic poly material, which does not rip or tear easily under abnormal frequency changes.

Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2012
I was caught in a heavy downpour with the top off. Water was dripping off the radio and everything was soaked and through it all, these speakers kept on keeping on.
The housing is a heavy plastic. Speakers can be replaced reusing the pods if that one day becomes necessary. The clamp is aluminum and it bites in good. They don't vibrate or move around.
Before we added the sub we had a Pyle 4 channel amp bridged to 2 channels, set amp on full pass. The 4 way sound on the speakers was really good but the overall sound really improves with the sub.
Couple of negatives that made them 4 star. The speaker wire connectors are externally exposed 2 the elements. The clamp is made out of some kind of cheap plastic that look horrible from the elements. Very bulky, barely fit in our application. And finally the speaker front came loose the last time we were out and disconnected. Instead of a separate front grill, the front grill has the tweeters in it with really small wiring connecting it. Amazingly enough the sound coming off our boat even with 1 wakeboard speaker inop still sounded good. My husband is going to try 2 rewire the tweeters and seal front on and check the other one out. Even if we have 2 replace very happy overall and will buy again.
Edit: june 2013 went ahead and replaced 1 speaker that came apart. My husband is planning 2 take it to his shop snd repair wires and use as spare speaker.
But the even crazier thing is....I'm powering a pair of these with a Pyle 400watt Hydra amp + a PAC LD10 Signal Booster.
YOU READ THAT RIGHT. A PYLE AMP IS PUSHING THESE THINGS THAT LOUD. I AM BLOWN AWAY.
Mine don't rattle or make weird noises like other reviewers have said and the clamps seem solid enough.
I liked them so much that I bought a second pair along with another 400w Pyle amp and will install them on my tower soon! You don't have much to lose at $65 Each!
Cons.. The neighbors from 300 feet away are complaining the music is to loud !!
I LEFT THESE SPEAKERS OUT ALL WINTER NY WATERFRONT - I CANT BELIEVE THERE STILL ROCKING !!!
