Great first table saw But!
4 Stars
Great first table saw But!
Great first table saw But, you need to know a few things and you can get cuts as accurate and the big brands.1. Don't trust the the angles stuck on the saw. They are not accurate at all, but I don't care much because I bought a digital angle Gauge. You can also use a machinist square or combo square for 45 degree angles.2. The raising/lowering mechanism has the slightest wobble which makes it get out of square just little bit, but it would be too much if you're looking for super accurate cuts. You may have to check square again after raising/lowering. Or maybe I just got a bad one.3. Miter gauge has play. I would recommend making your own miter gauge using the same saw however, If you want to make a regular miter gauge, you would have to grind off the 8 inconvenient tabs in the miter slots which would void your warranty of course. Not a problem for me, it went great with a die grinder, but do this at your own risk.4. Lastly, get a better blade. I got a Diablo 40 tooth general purpose blade. It comes with a 28 tooth blade.Pros:1, Cheap price for budget or new wood workers2, With a little adjustments, you can get accurate cuts as accurate as the more expensive ones3, Light weight and easy to move around4, Can be mounted on a custom table to make a bigger table saw5, Comes with riving knife blade guards and anti kickback for safety.6, Its powerful. 15 amps is just enough to tackle all the tasks a table saw is built for safely and efficiently.Cons:1, Slight wobble in the lifting mechanism.(This just means when you lower/Rise the blade you need to double check for square) It is also not very smooth to turn.2, Angle gauge is not accurate.(not a problem if you have an angle gauge or square)3, Comes with a blade that is only suitable for rough cuts or framing.4,The fence is self squaring about 80 percent of the time. (double check for super accurate cuts)5, Alot of plastic parts, would not recommend for aggressive users on job sites.I will bring updates in the future.UPDATE!The wobble can be fixed/reduced significantly. There are 2 gears under the unit, perpendicular to each other. If you have wobble, turn the saw on its side and look at the gear while raising/lowering the blade. You will see that they are wobbling slightly. They can be adjusted with a Philips screw drive. It may take a few tries to get it perfect but it is fixable.Update 10th Dec 2019Ive used the saw for jointing planks for a table top and a making a garden gate. Turned out great, I'm really liking my purchase but it's still a 4 star item.

if you're just getting started at woodworking, this is the perfect saw for you. Look no further! It's cheap, it's powerful and it has many feetures you will only find on higher end table saws...
PROS:
1 light weight. Can easily be moved around a shop or to a worksite.
2 wide work surface. The side extends out giving you more room for cross cuts. There is also an extendable outfeed.
3 power. It's a very powerful machine and will cut through anything you throw at it. Provided you install a good blade in it. ( Freud Diablo works great)
4 the arbor is a standard 5/8 and also made wide enough to install a dado stack.

CONS:
1 plastic base is a little flimsy. And you don't want to mistreat anything that might break.
2 miter gauge is crap. It moves around a lot and you will need to calibrate it anything you want to change the angle.
3 miter slots have little tabs. This means buying after market miter gigs or any sleds will be a waste of money because they won't fit. ( easy fix! I cut them off flush with the channel with a dremil and cutting disk. Now I can use all the gigs and sleds I want)
