Great little diffuser!
5 Stars
Great little diffuser!
I am so happy with this diffuser! It is small but packs a good punch! The amount of vapor that comes out is a perfect amount. It will scent the room that you have it in and waft into other rooms depending on the size. It is very easy to operate. It has 2 buttons. One for the diffusing and one for the lights. When diffusing, you have the option to have it continuously diffuse or do short intermittent bursts. The lights are hypnotizing. You can choose to have the lights cycle through all the colors or you can have it on one continuous color. It is easy to take apart to add the water and your oils. The instruction manual is good although it is so easy you may not need it! The cord can be take out of the back for easy cleaning without having to worry about it getting in the way. It comes with a little brush for cleaning which is nice. I have not had this product long but I am happy with it so far!

I've had the Greenair Spa Vapor for a few weeks now and so far I'd have to give it 5 stars. Purchased it for $27.99, a great price for this little gem. We'll have to wait and see if it holds up over time though, I'd like it to last a couple years at least. I've heard that these type of diffusers generally aren't made to last for many years. I use mine daily and so far I've been very satisfied. It puts out a steady vapor stream for a few hours per fill. I've found that you sometimes need to give it a rinse with warm water several times as advised in the instructions. It seems that every so often the output will get blocked by oil residue and it just requires a good rinse and maybe a cottonswab wipe with alcohol. I try to keep it from running out of water so this happens less. At first when it stopped outputting I thought it was defective but realized that it really just needs a good cleaning once in a while. I find this to be the main difference in comparison to another more expensine diffuser I purchased along with this one which is the River Rock by Deneve : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L9NR672?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 . The River rock was $49.99. These were the 2 most reviewed diffusers on Amazon at the time. There's so many diffusers on Amazon and it can be hard to decide. I just went with the 2 with the most good reviews and I wanted to try both and compare and see why the price difference. I'm satisfied with both. The main advantage with the Riverrock is the 1 year warranty and that it requires less cleaning. It seems to just keep going without having to clean it. The Spa vapor though has a much lower price and puts out more vapor, and I like the ambient lighting better on the Spa Vapor compared to the River Rock which has a light strip/band which is nice too but the Spa Vapor lighting I like better. I would highly recommend both of these diffusers provided they last at least a couple years. Some people have said that like 5 drops of oil does the job for filling a room with scent, and I'd have to pretty much agree provided it a smaller room like a bedroom, not a larger living room. You'll get the smell in the room either way but it may not be as strong or last as long, and it will also depend on the oils. Personally I likea very powerful aroma and I will get right up to the diffuser and put my face right into the vapor. What really works good is using the Spa Vapor in the car. It's not really made as a car diffuser, but I could not find any highly rated car diffuser and there aren't any water vapor diffusers made for the car. So I improvised and fixed a place in my vehicle where the Spa Vapor will sit steady in place (it needs to remain level as possible). I plug it into an inverter which connects to the car's power outlet/ lighter. And it works great. The car becomes like an aromatherapy steam sauna on wheels. The steam tends to escape out the windows if their down but still you get plenty of aroma and if the windows are up you get a really powerful dose of aromatherapy. So yeah, go ahead and buy this one, it's great. And customer support is very helpful if you have any questions or problems with the unit.

I've had a great experience with this diffuser. I bought one over a year ago, and it worked so well for us, that I bought a second diffuser to use in a back bedroom. A single diffuser easily covers our living room, kitchen and dining room. I'm sure this diffuser could distribute the scents even further, if not for our zig-zaggy halls.

We use Young Living oils in this diffuser. I've found this GreenAir diffuser to work just as well, if not better, compared to the $75 diffuser sold by Young Living. The tank in this diffuser is smaller than the tank in the Young Living diffuser, and it only needs 5-6 drops of oil in my experience, but I've found that it lasts all day. The YoungLiving diffuser would run for about the same amount of time, but had more water in the tank, thus requiring more drops. (I think Young Living recommended 8 drops per tank of water in their diffuser.) I would estimate that we get 6 hours of use each time I fill the tank.

I know I should clean the tank out daily, but I probably only do so about once a week...-ish. Okay, maybe every other week. But I definitely wipe it down before a heavy film of oil can build up too badly. If the oils start smelling funny, you probably need to wipe out the tank thoroughly. There is a little brush included in the box for this purpose, and it is very helpful, though a baby bottle cleaner (the type with a tiny bristle tip for cleaning nipples) would probably work a bit better. I use Q-Tips to thoroughly clean out that little hole at the bottom of the tank.

I've seen warnings not to use citrus oils with this tank, but I've ignored that and had no problem with either of my diffusers. I use lemon, orange, tangerine, ylang ylang, Peace & Calming, and numerous other oils with or without citrus. I do try to do a better job of wiping down the tank on those weeks when I'm using a lot of citrus, just in case a build-up of citrus oils could hurt the plastic parts.

There is an optional LED, multi-colored light that can run simultaneously with the diffusing oils, or by itself without any liquid in the tank. I've found this to be a handy night light, and my husband thinks it's very soothing.

I've found that the parts to this diffuser are much sturdier than the ones on my previous two Young Living diffusers. The Young Living model had an opaque, plastic satellite-dish-looking gizmo that hung upside down over the tank. I knocked over my Young Living model a few times, and that bowl-shaped piece broke off each time, until I could no longer fix it. This diffuser has fewer parts and seems to be of superior construction. If I were being offered, for free, the $75 Young Living diffuser or this $30 GreenAir model, I would choose the $30 GreenAir model. The GreenAir SpaVapor+ works better, lasts longer, has fewer parts (and none of the parts are fragile), and is easier to use when compared with Young Living's model.

So, although Young Living's oils are second to none and absolutely worth every penny, I recommend this $30 GreenAir model over the $75 model used by Young Living as of October 2015.

The only way to smell the oils from this essential oil diffuser is from smelling it directly from the stream. Compared to the zaq allay where you can smell whatever essential oil you are using strong no matter where you are. I am using it as instructed, hot water, 5 drops (mind you i've amped it up to 14, it still doesn't compare to my zaq allay). Mist production is high in the green air, but I feel the oil must get diluted in the bask of vapor and not much is actually getting across because the smell is exceptionally weak no matter what I do. I tried as it suggests to fill it up 1/3 of the way and I put in 10 drops and it was pungent for about a half an hour before it weakened to the point where I couldn't smell it at all, then it continued to mist for another 2 hours scentelessly (I even exited the room for 20 mins to make sure I hadn't just gotten used to it)

Quality as far as if it were to break (which is looks cheap and the ceramic discs they use to diffuse is really rather fragile) is a problem. The raised light posts are difficult to clean. You can't choose a color, it's either rotating or off. With the zaq allay you can replace the ceramic element for pretty cheap too if it does break.

So i'm going to keep this guy in the closet and stick with my zaq allay. It's all all together better diffuser. 5 drops in the allay lasts for 5 hours, it doesn't require cold water, distilled works fine with it as well and I actually smell it 100 percent of the time. The sad thing it's only 10 dollars more than this piece of crap.
