Product Description

The NT01 is a D.O.T.-compliant dry competition radial designed with the weekend road racer in mind. The compound was developed to provide the best balance of traction, consistency, heat cycle performance and longevity. The sidewall construction* is optimized for sharp steering response, accurate feedback and increased driver confidence. For those that demand maximum dry performance, the NT01 can be shaved from 6/32 of an inch down to 3/32 of an inch to reveal a slick with two circumferential grooves. The NT01 delivers fast and consistent lap times for both the professional road-racer and the track-day enthusiast.

Still the standard for DOT rubber. So much grip, I had to make changes to my suspension to compensate. Yes, pricier than some of the competition, but you can use these until cords show, as opposed to trashing them due to heat cycling. Plus, they just work better.
Great for heavier cars, since they don't mind heat. The more they wear, the faster they get.
I keep looking for an alternative, haven't found one, yet.
Dry grip is perfect. Wet is marginal, especially as tread wears.

Amazing in the dry. Can be sketchy in standing water but they are competition only tires. Do not recommend daily driving on as they wear very quickly. The price is VERY hard to beat for so much grip. I was running Bridgestone RE-11A's (Top rated Extreme summer tire) before these and they are still worlds apart. Race slicks are the only upgrade from this!
