Style meets function with this large, easy-to-use garbage can that looks great! With brushed metal accents, a hassle-free swing-top lid, and the integrated neck ring, Venti keeps your waste (and garbage bag) out of sight and out of mind.

Venti Trash Can is constructed of durable black polypropylene so it’s sturdy and stable which means you don’t have to worry about it toppling over. At the same time, it’s easy to maintain – just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Venti is large enough that you don’t have to constantly change the bag, but small enough to fit in almost any space in your home. Venti is especially useful as a kitchen trash can, but can be used anywhere in your home, in an outdoor environment, or even in a commercial space!

Designed by Umbra, Venti Trash Can comes in Black/Nickel or Black/Copper and is 35 inches tall by 14.5 inches in diameter, with a 16.5 gallon (62L) capacity. It works with the most popular 13-gallon (bag will hang inside the can) or 30-gallon garbage bags, including draw-sting and flap-tie bags.

So I had an old cheap plastic garbage can that was so flimsy that the lid fell off every time you lifted it. Enough!, I said. My office had bought a few of this brand of trash cans and I admired their qualities of attractiveness and hands-free trash-tossing, so I bought one for my kitchen. I LOVE IT. Now, it IS big. Very big. So be sure to do your measuring before you order one. And I'm not sure that you can buy bags to fit it at your local Safeway. Maybe, but to be on the safe side I took another Amazon reviewer's suggestion and bought the brand of bags she recommended: simplehuman Code P Custom Fit Drawstring Trash Bags, 50-60 Liter / 13-16 Gallon, 3 Refill Packs (60 Count), for $27 and worth every penny. These bags fit perfectly.

I love the 'swinging top' feature on this can, which means you can throw away a handful of apple peels in by pushing with the back of your hand and releasing them - you never have to touch the garbage lid with messy fingers. For larger jobs like peeling potatoes (if you, like me, don't have a disposal), the entire lid comes off easily.

As I said, nicely engineered, attractive, and BIG. (We don't have to empty the kitchen garbage nearly as often anymore.) If I had to list one drawback, I wish that the silver swinging lid fit the hole more precisely, but that's really nitpicking.

I debated getting a smart trash can but found this one to try instead. The trash can itself is huge. I am having a hard time finding trash bags to fit this tall can. The only problem we have found so far due to the can being so tall, is that the trash bags fall down inside when they begin to get full (therefore I deducted a star for this reason). The swinging top is a little small for the opening so it doesn't completely stop smells. Also f the can is situated too close to the wall the swinging top gets caught on the wall when trying to throw something away, not a big deal because you can move the can around easily but figured I would mention it anyways as it isn't exactly a space saver. The can is made with thick plastic so it's easy to clean and stands up to most anything it comes in contact with. The color goes great with our kitchen. Overall a decent product.
