Quality Rod (Flashlight) mount
The five stars are for the value of the rod mount. But let me first say that I am not using this to hold a fishing rod, at least not yet. And I can't claim that I came up with this idea, I saw it on Pinterest. I have been building a camping trailer and I saw this idea for a flashlight mount. Someone used a single fishing Rod mount to hold a Maglite flashlight. I could have just bought a single mount but I decided to go with the 3 rod mounts because the price for the 3 mounts was just a few dollars more than the single mount. I used a hacksaw to cut off a single mount (See pictures). I will mount this on the trailer. I have already tested it and the Maglite fits perfectly. And I also kept the slots with the mount to hold a couple of tools. And I still have 2 more Rod mounts to use for another flashlight, or some other tool, or maybe even a fishing Rod. Anyway for a few bucks these are great mounts with a lot of different uses.

Perfect for my needs. Our pontoon is mostly a pleasure craft and not designed for fishing. E.G. no rod holders, seats facing backwards, live well, etc. However, I do use it on occasion for fishing so wanted the rod holders. My wife was against permanently attaching these, and I was on board with that due to the low use. Thus I came up with a removable design using this product, Taylor Made Pontoon Boat Rail Fender Hanger/Adjusters (also bought on Amazon), and some stainless machine screws. Made two of them. Works perfectly.
