Due to the drought here in my area there seemed to be a lot more fleas this year. I have five cats and one dog and even though they receive a monthly dose of Frontline and I have my home and yard sprayed every month I noticed a few fleas in my home which totally freaked me out. Spectracide was recommended highly to me and found these on Amazon at an extremely reasonable price. I followed the directions provided and left my home for three hours or so with the pets outside and came home and opened up the windows and I have not had a problem with fleas since. A very good product and very easy to use. Just follow the directions provided and you will not have a problem. The scent is not strong and after a few minutes of fresh air flowing through my home the scent that was there was gone quickly. Very good product and highly recommend to anyone who has a bug problem in their home.
We just moved into a house that hadn’t been occupied for at least a year. I’m afraid of spiders and prefer all other bugs to live...not where I live, so I got a crap ton of these after researching for a solid 5 minutes. Turns out the internet was correct- these suckers WORK. Dead bugs everywhere in the house the next day that I sucked right into the vacuum. I did make my partner put way more foggers in the house than what was technically necessary for the square footage of our home but I regret nothing. We weren’t moving in yet so we had plenty of time to let the place air out but honestly- it didn’t smell terrible for more than 12 hours after and that’s with half of the house being carpet. We’ve now lived her for about a month and nothing has returned so I can safely assume that this worked on any potential procreating bugs as well as any eggs or babies in the house at that time.
Well, they helped a lot. Unfortunately, I still have cockroach infestation I purchased two of these that's a total of 12 I set two in my bedroom one in the guest room, two in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, two in the living room and one in the laundry room, I closed all windows and doors left for the night the next day came home open all the windows doors turn a few fans on and went looking around I must of found about 100 or maybe more dead roaches. There were ones half alive, still falling off the ceiling and walls, it's been a week since I did that. I'm still seeing roaches here and there not nearly as often though.I plan to buy traps and boric powder acid this friday and next weekend i'll set off the remaining foggers. I hope it work's if not i'm trowing in the towl and moving these nasty crusaders give me the creeps so bad.I have trouble sleeping at night. That can't be healthy and I refuse to be terrified in my own house anymore.
I don't have a big bug problem, but I keep a lot of these bombs around for various uses. One thing I use them for is when I have my garage open for an extended period of time. Flies and other bugs will enter the garage. I set one or two of these off in the garage when I'm done to get rid of everything.
I know stuff eventually starts taking residence in my attic. I set 2-3 of these off every month or so to get the things out. The last time I set off a couple of cans there was a dead squirrel in my front yard the next day. I couldn't find any damage to the squirrel, so it is possible he was in the attic and this stuff killed it, I don't know.
I've seen a few negative reviews about this not killing all of the bugs, and in most every case it is because the bugs are able to hide from it. I read one review where cockroaches hid in a refrigerator. This stuff seem to work very well, but if the bugs can escape and evade then it won't kill them. If you have an insect problem that bad then you should be using more than just the fogger.
In the past I've always used the bombs that are activated by adding water to them. Always good experience other than the job of adding the water. So tried there.
A few initial observations: Whoever designed the nozzle is an idiot. The discharge is angled towards the activating button. Press in a natural manner and you're surrounded in a cloud of fog. Pick it up and angle it away from you and foam spits out. So set it down, swivel it to the side to activate.
They spit. I activated 12 of them and a few spit far enough away from the magazine pages I had them laying on to get on the floors.
They smell. After 2 hours, our home is still filled with what I believe/hope is the smell of propellant.
No idea how effective they are as we don't have any bugs. This is a preventive measure we use every year when we switch homes for the summer months. Could not find the type that are activated by water this year. Will go back to them if I can find them.
I don't normally go to people's houses. Very particular about doing it. Any how I went to a woman's house for a coupon class and brought home coupons and bed buds along with it. I was horrified and traumatized once I figured out that they had bred so quickly and became a huge problem really quick. I bought all the sprays and bombs specific to bed bugs and they didn't work. I called in the professionals only for them to try to rip me off talking about thousands of dollars. I went to google and searched and read reviews. I bought this product and used all six cans releasing a bomb everyday for 3-4 days underneath the bed ground zero. It worked, no more bed bug issues. Than k God.
We only have fleas, so I cannot attest to the effectiveness against any other pests (e.g. bedbugs, which surely are problematic). Due to our specific apartment 'geography', as well as pet intolerance to pyrethrins, we have a chronic flea issue. The one thing I do know is this product will, if you'll forgive the vernacular, kill the CRAP out of a room with fleas in it! As with ANY fogger, you need to complement this weapon with various OTHERS to combat the several life stages. So this needs to be only one weapon in your arsenal. But it's a good one!
No sticky mess. As far as I can tell, the spray cans do not get foamy and stop spraying properly a few seconds into the fogging. I'm buying more of these for sure.
