Side note: My package got in one day later than the expected delivery date for some reason...no biggie, but I felt like I needed to include that just in case if you don't receive this on the day it claims to be delivered to you...
In the package, if you buy it new, you receive a tiny little box with the Fender logo on it. Inside the package includes: One battery for the tuner, the tuner itself, and an instruction manual...so pretty much the basic stuff in a standard package but has everything you need to start tuning your guitar right away. The tuner itself looks really cool. It is mostly plastic, with an LED screen and a back-light when you turn it on. But it looks so freaking cool compared to most tuners! My cousin thought it was a video game attachment at first! Also, it's very adjustable by allowing you to move the tune in numerous ways due to the clip-on being movable. This means you can adjust the way you see the tuner on many guitars which is a huge plus! So brownie points for being cheap, yet attractive.
How it works: You put the tuner at the top of your guitar by clipping it on. Next, you strum the selected string you wish to choose. The goal is to get the arrow in the middle of the screen, and you will know you completed this goal and tuned it perfectly if the screen turns bright green. So if it's green, you're good, if it's not, just keep trying. I'm not gonna lie, tuning my guitar was a bit tiresome as it seemed like forever (Approximately 20-30 minutes), but all that hard work paid off certainly...
And lastly: It did it's job perfect. When my Fender FA first got in and I strummed it and tried tuning it on my own at first, well, it sounded not too good and I was worried that I just wasted my hard-earned cash on a guitar...well, once the Tuner came in and I tested it out, my guitar sounded AMAZING! I'm so happy that I found this tuner because it's amazing, and for the price compared to most, I think this is the best way to go. I paid only 16 bucks for mine including shipping and handling, and I do NOT regret this purchase one bit. This tuner will work on any guitar, both Acoustic or Electric. This tuner is made with quality, believe me, so don't let it's surprisingly "Too good to be true" cheap price deceive you. This tuner is affordable, does its job right, and looks great! So get this tuner today! You won't regret it.
SINCE I WROTE THE PREVIOUS REVIEW: It's still great.
The Battery has lasted for about a year. No real weak points, the LCD color display is well visualized. It is easier and quicker to use than my on-board tuner embedded in my Zoom G5 multi-effects pedalboard. I panic when I can't find it. When I compare it to other tuners, it seems that it uses a dedicated guitar tuning mode, with enhanced tuning for guitar, because the other tuners are just chromatic tuners. This tuner assumes that a guitar is not truly tuned and adjusts for the imbalances by tuning a few cents off here and there on each string to compensate. My guitar sounds tuned, but the other tuners don't agree. It has chromatic, guitar, bass, violin, and ukelele modes as well as tunings in F, Bb, C, and Eb keys. Pitch adjustment is from A 430Hz to 450Hz.
The only time I had a problem is when turning on the unit in a rush, I inadvertently pushed the wrong button and tuned the guitar to A 435Hz. I realized it quickly before I played with the pianist, because every string was being retuned on a guitar I had only tuned the night before. This has happened once. If I had looked at the display it would clearly indicate what A you are using for referencing. Moral of the story: don't rush and the tuner works flawlessly. I use it for the acoustic guitars, too, and one of these has an on-board tuner, as it is an acoustic-electric. I'm thinking of giving a ukulele to my grandson for Christmas and this tuner will come in handy.
The instructions say: Hecho en China, so it is a double import from China and packaged in Ensenada, Mexico. I don't have a problem with this because most clip-on tuners are MIC anyway. But Fender's influence may be affecting the expected operation of the tuner.

Pile fournie donc rien à prévoir
Indispensable
