Customers are mixed about the sturdiness of the water flotation device. Some mention that it seems sturdy and holds up fantastic in the water, while others say that the plastic is not durable enough and is likely to pop or puncture with very little effort. The rubber gets more flimsy when it's hot, so be careful and always bring a duct.
"...Now it says aluminum but I'm pretty sure they're plastic but they do seem sturdy. I mean man. Yeah I'm totally happy with it...." Read more
"...The pump is cheaply made, the hose bent right away, extremely slow in the airflow. Boat is nice I just don't recommend to pay extra $ for the pump" Read more

Customers are mixed about the size of the water flotation device. Some mention it's perfect for one, big enough for adults to use, and roomy boat. However, others say that the pedals don't work at all, the oars are just a little short, and the sides are also a bit big. The legs are all over each other and the paddles are too short to reach the water. It only carries 125 pounds.
"...I mean man. Yeah I'm totally happy with it. It's got some great size to it like yeah there's just no other better deal you're going to get...." Read more
"You definitely need a pump to blow this up. Very big and works well. However after the 5th use the floor separately from the side panels...." Read more
"...The sides are also a bit big which makes getting in/out in the water a bit of a challenge, but it is doable - conversely, this boat is VERY stable..." Read more
"...It could easily hold 3 little kids, possibly 4 depending on how big they are. It's definitely more of a fun play boat versus a kayak...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the inflation of the water flotation device. Some mention that it inflates easily enough, with the provided pump, while others say that it takes some time and energy to inflat. They also mention that the hose bends right away and the airflow is extremely slow.
"Sturdy, quality, easy to inflate! Great product" Read more
"...I assembled the oars. I inflated the raft. Little bit of a pain to inflate and deflate because of the very tiny pump size and the not having a like..." Read more
"...The day we went the water was exceptionally choppy for us. The boat inflated well, and the paddles held up great...." Read more
"...a couple and even got hung up on some as well as branches they did not pop or get cut. They held up rather well...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the air capacity of the water flotation device. Some mention it works ok, holds air, and keeps well inflated, while others say it loses air and warps with pressure. Some say the boat is durable and air stays in it, while other say it didn't hold air and kept oozing out. Some customers also say the raft is pretty big so it takes a lot of air.
"...Sometimes, air would escape from the side chamber opening as I was pumping if the pump was loosely fit, and I would have to stop and adjust it..." Read more
"...The pump is a little bit of work. The raft is pretty big so it takes a LOT of air...." Read more
"...Is it heavy duty? Nope. Will it hold air and displace water? Yup. Will it IMMEDIATELY make you a CAPTAIN? YES IT WILL!..." Read more
"...And they don't let a lot of air out unless you squeeze them at the base and force the air by pressing on the boat...." Read more

His loss, though, because I've taken it out numerous times, already, and come back safely and worn out from paddling. That last part's a good thing because I wanted exercise from this venture. I haven't had a leak, yet, but -- mind you -- I take care of what I buy. I deflate it on the dock on a towel and wipe off with a hand towel as it's getting smaller. I keep rope tied in several places and have one metal clip on the front end, and nothing's caused a leak or rusted, etc. I fold it up and put it into a bag with my inflatable safety vest.
The only thing I dislike is that it
What I don't like is that it's hard to steer and paddle in any one direction. You have to really practice to make it go where you choose. As is, the design with the bulbous front end and the high walls isn't made for one person boating. I've had lots and lots of time spent spinning in circles and you have to pay attention to the direction and strength of the current. Sitting in it, I'm reclined backward and too low to actually reach the water well with the oars in the holders. I had to DIY a makeshift bench out of half a tree stump, to temporarily sit in until I can find something better that either inflates or I put a solid floor in the bottom. Yes, I plan to do that. I also plan to put some type of rudder on the back to keep it going in a straight line. And, practice, practice!
Because this is pivotal to my use of the boat, I'll go on. As designed, if you kneel in the middle of the boat, your knees poke down below the plane of the water surface, only raising the high sides higher around that point. Being the only person in the boat makes all of the boat rise as I sink and my ice chest and backpack falls over -- spilled drinks, ice cold water in my swimsuit and wet gear.
I recommend a boat with a seat built into the design, unless you will always have two-three people inside. Intex boats seem to be sturdy. Tie a rudder on somehow. I recommend you carry your belongings in a true dry bag. For one rower, you can arrange the oars into one long oar to paddle like in a kayak, but you're still rather low in the boat. It's just not convenient and almost not steerable. But, remember I said I wanted exercise from this so I'll have to put that elbow grease in to make it work. You may have other priorities, so I wanted to explain that.
