Ergo sport how I love thee, let me count the ways:You are soft and comfy and easy for a baby to snuggle into.You make it super easy to baby wear... anywhere.The 30 secs. time it takes to get baby safely in/ out of you saves my sanity (I guess baby just isn’t patient enough for wraps).You are easy to adjust and readjust allowing both parents (one being 5’5”, the other 6’4”) to wear our baby.You are a neutral design that my manly man hubs is willing to be seen in public with (having the baby in front carry will cover his “Brony” MLP shirt ;) ).Your pocket lets me store my keys, cell phone, and what have you so I can go purse free (even when I’m in pocketless yoga pants…which is always).When a fussy, teething baby falls asleep in you (the ONLY place she will sleep) it is easy to unbuckle and softly lay baby on the bed to stay in her blissful slumber.You go everywhere with us and have held up to a lot of getting tossed around!Your straps are soft and don’t chafe my tank top wearing arms (suns out guns out).Baby see’s you coming and instantly chills the heck out :DYou are durable, yet comfortable.The only thing that sometimes gets in my way with it is the hip belt (where it curves down), when worn in a front carry, makes it difficult to sit down while wearing. This same feature, however, makes it much more comfortable to back carry… so I’ll take it as it comes.But in all seriousness this carrier has been a lifesaver. I love going on hikes with my baby and this thing makes it possible. Heck, it makes grocery shopping possible! I’ve used this thing more than ANY other baby accouterment! I Highly recommend it!

I have to admit the Baby Bjorn is a little more comfortable overall for a shorty, but this is SO much better ergonomically for your baby (back and especially hips).

This is made exceptionally well! I like that it has a very thick support around the waist and arm straps.. and the hood is awesome for when your baby won't sleep and you need to decrease stimulation.. or when you're on a walk and the sun is beating down (the material is breathable so baby won't get too hot).. The storage compartment has thinner material so i wouldn't recommend putting a more than a couple keys, burprag, and a moneyclip or a few credit cards in it...but just pack it accordingly because it rests up against your baby. I got one for myself and my husband wore it all the time.. so for Mothers Day he got me a new, pretty blue one! Now we each have one to trek around with our twins..

A few complaints:
I'm 5'3" and large chested and to fit my baby in comfortably, the arm strap adjustments hit me just under the backside of my armpit to where it rubs a bit. I found wearing thicker cotton clothing with full sleeves helps tremendously (obviously its worse with tank tops or slinky fabrics). Also, being large chested pulls the strap behind the neck a bit too much to where it rubs a bit.. more my problem than most I think though!

This carrier is wonderful. Recommend it!

I highly recommend this carrier. My daughter is 8 months old and I've loved carrying her in the Moby wrap. At 20 pounds, my daughter was getting too heavy for the Moby wrap (it would stretch out very quickly during wear, also putting strain on my back), so I was looking for something more structured with better support. I looked at and tried out many different models. I opted for the Performance carrier over other Ergo models, as it's a more breathable fabric to keep both Mommy/Daddy and baby cooler. It's also extremely comfortable for long-term carry. The ERGO is MUCH easier to put on than a Moby, with simple buckles that are easy to squeeze open as opposed to the Beco Gemini and Butterfly models. While ERGO doesn't allow for facing out while front carrying, I'm not too disappointed (Moby doesn't allow it either). With ERGO, I also have the option to side or back carry. The weight is situated on the shoulders and hips, helping to relieve back strain. The shoulder straps are extremely padded and don't pull tightly. The baby is held in a seated carry, putting less stress on baby's hips. There is a storage pocket for the hood and another that can easily fit keys and a cell phone. I use a messenger style diaper bag, which fits comfortably under the carrier. The extra sections of strap can be rolled up and secured with an attached elastic piece so you don't have "strings" hanging or dragging (a great feature).

ERGObaby came highly recommended. I researched their line and chose the performance carrier as reviews claimed it was breathable and great for hot, sweaty situations. As I was planning a tropical vacation I thought it'd be perfect. My seven month old fits snugly in it. As I mentioned, it is functional. It's easy to get baby in and out. My other carrier requires a masters degree, and can only fit my husband. This one fits us both, and can be put on in a jiffy, with no assistance. Putting it on with baby on the back is tricky, but can be done. The problem I have is my baby can't see over the straps. Maybe it's meant for bigger babies, but my poor child could only rest her head on my chest as her attempts to look over the strap were nearly futile. The regular carrier appears, from, pictures,mot give baby freedom to look around. This one does not.

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 17, 2017
I love, love, love this carrier. Once you have adjusted the straps to suit your frame, it is super comfy to wear, even if, like me, you suffer from a bad back. The design places the baby in the "frogs leg" position, which is perfect for their spine too. Although the instructions were a little daunting, I watched a you tube review and it soon became clear

Pros
* great for baby's Spine
* Comfy
* has a pocket for your phone/money/keys so you can have the essentials to hand
* sun shade / snooze shade is easy to get out of its pouch and secure
* easy to get baby in and out of
* lightweight material is perfect for hot weather

5.0 out of 5 stars le porte-bébé idéal
Reviewed in France on August 17, 2015

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Fantastic!

I love it! I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Toll, aber nicht perfekt für kleine Frauen
Reviewed in Germany on July 10, 2014
