Pros:
- No fuel or electricity needed. The mower is ready to go as soon as I push it on the ground. No need to deal with cords or refuel, so a great mower to have around if you're prepared for long outages in case zombies ever come, although mowing your grass would be the least of your concerns then...
- Low maintenance. I practically left this out in the elements for about a year and it hasn't rusted or degraded in the rain/sun although you probably should at least keep it under a cover for longevity. The metal blade part can rust from the morning dew, but I just hand-wipe a bit and let it sun/air dry. Sharpen the mower blades once in a while, and it's ready to go.
- Quiet. You won't be waking up your neighbors even if you want to mow during the wee hours for whatever the reason. Perfect if you're a vampire or just want to blow off your steam in the dark.
- It doesn't stir up dust. When I mow with a power mower without a dust mask on, I end up breathing enough dust and allergens to sneeze and feel the pollution in my lungs later. With this mower, I don't need to wear a mask that always irritate my skin.
- With the included removable grass catcher, I collect the grass to feed to my chickens. The catcher won't collect all grass cuttings, but it does a decent enough job if you mow at the right speed and angle. I get the catcher full of grass to feed my chickens every morning (literally 2-3 minute activity) while I let my dogs out, and I get healthy pastured organic eggs with dark orange yolks without worrying about my chickens getting killed by hawks and other predators. When my chickens don't get the grass, the yolk color turns pale yellow, along with more meat/blood spots in the eggs.
Cons:
- Just as in any manual push mower, a hard debris or a small branch can stop the mower in its path, so you're best off avoiding/removing the obstacles or you can simply roll the blades back (I just use my foot) and the debris usually dislodge for you to continue mowing.
- All manual mowers have trouble handling taller grass, so this is good for touch ups or trimming, not for once in a while mowing of taller grass/weeds. When grasses get very tall, the mower may miss tall flowers/strands and it'll require extra effort/force to push the mower.
- The grass catcher can come off easily. I used a plier to bend the metal loops on the grass catcher for a tighter fit around the metal bar when I first got mine. Even then, the grass catcher kept falling off until I raised the height of the cutting blade. I keep mine in the 4th slot out of the 9 available slot heights and tightened the belt to keep the catcher from being dragged on the ground, and then the grass catcher finally stayed on.
It's very nice having a mower around that require no cord or other hassles. I often find myself mowing my backyard impromptu for no reason just because it happens to be there. If you have a decent sized yard, you'll no doubt want a riding mower or a power mower to perform good manicuring of your garden once in a while. However, if you don't mind using your muscles (I'm 115 lbs 5'5" lady) and get a decent exercise and sweat (forget sauna for health) for a productive activity, get this as a spare mower, especially if you have any pet you could feed fresh grass to.
-Structural materials seem to be great quality. I'd be surprised if this ever broke.
-Surprisingly easy to push. It's easier to push than a gas mower without push-assist.
-Blades come nice and sharp.
-Easy, and I'd venture to say fun, to assemble
-Adjustable height allows you to cut grass exactly as long as you want
-Comes with a grass collector
-Mow the yard without smelling like gasoline.
Cons:
-The design makes it impossible to get within 4ish inches of a fence. Just look at the picture. The wheels are on the outside of spinning blades. And the blades don't go all the way to the insides of the wheels. That means if you run the mower along a fence line with the wheels up against a fence, you're going to have a 4+ inch strip of uncut grass. Same goes for any kind of barrier edge, such as logs or stones. I spend about as much time weed wacking the edges of my yard as I do mowing.
-Some types of grass and weeds simply get pushed over and are never actually cut. I've gone over the same patch of crab grass ten times without actually cutting some of the longer grass blades on the edges. Where a gas mower would suck grass upward toward its blades, this will just push down taller, stiffer grasses.
-The grass collector barely attaches to the back and frequently falls off. It "attaches" by resting two half-hooks on a bar that runs along the back edge of the mower. Since it doesn't actually grab onto that bar, it can fall off at the slightest bump. It's really annoying. I guess I'll have to bend the hooks more so it might stay better.
-Have any twigs in your yard? You have two options: 1) make sure they're all picked up before you start (and that includes the tiny ones) or 2) about once a minute, the reel will become hopelessly jammed, and you'll have to stoop over, reverse the reel, and pull the twig out of the way. Any twig that's much larger than a toothpick poses the risk of jamming the reel. Once jammed, no amount of pushing is going to work to push your way through--the only hope of getting past twigs is to go into the twig zone with a lot of momentum; if you hit a twig while going slowly, you're completely out of luck.
-The handle foam, although comfortable enough, is the type of foam that is going to disintegrate and fall apart after a few years.
Final thoughts:
Maybe most of my gripes here apply to any reel mower. If I had to buy another reel mower, I'd get this exact same one. It is reasonably priced and is well made. It is significantly better than I expected, to be honest. But wow is it a pain to cut my small, fenced in yard. Ideally, this would be used on a yard with these qualities: few/no barriers, flat, few twigs/roots/other debris, few trees, and high quality, uniform grass. In other words, if your yard resembles a fairway, this would do a great job. Otherwise, prepare to become an expert with your weed wacker.
Top reviews from other countries
This unit actually is better than the push lawn mowers I used during my teens -- as the 2 back wheels instead of some type of roller does work better. (At least as long as 1 wheel doesn't get into a rut.) And I always use this type of mower set to cut about as high as it will go -- since that seems to make them work better. Not to mention that cutting a lawn to more than 2 inches helps it to do better during a bit of drought. (No one waters the lawn where I live.)
In the attached photos, the front part of the yard had been cut to about the height of a tallboy beer can before using this mower. (Just over 6 inches.) So it took mowing that part of the yard from many directions, rocking the mower back and forth a bit, etc., to get that grass cut. while the "field" part of the yard behind that needed to be cut down, before even trying to use a mower like this.
Please Note: Due to all that *long* grass, these photos actually show the *worst* results a mower like this provides. After cutting the lawn a couple of more times during the month of July, the lawn looked much much better.

Has all the hiccups you would expect from a push mower (has trouble if grass is over 6 in, need to use physical power to move, can't cut by pulling backwards etc). The only extra thing I can add about this particular model is, it is kind of hard to turn on pavement due to the back wheels being in a fixed angle. But the mower is not that heavy, so no biggie.
Haven't used the mulch catcher, so I can't comment on it's effectiveness.

Update 9,9, 2018
I've used this for the complete summer now and still really happy with it. It cuts though semi long grass with relative ease even if it's a bit wet. It still takes very little effort to push it forward (compared to my old Yard Works),
I also found that if you lean the mower back on its rear wheels you can make sharp turns easier.
