Solid, predictable throw-back and well built

Solid, predictable throw-back and well built
We set this up in our unfinished basement and have been playing with it non-stop...baseball with real baseballs. My son will play on it for hours and it's really sharpening his skills. I love that it's so big and even if you hit the sides the bounce-back is solid and predictable. It will really wing it back anywhere within 30 feet or so. We pretty much leave it in the one position since it's in our basement but I can see how it could / would really throw a good pop-fly outside. We even created a game like raquetball where we alternate throwing and catching it. Even Dad likes to go have a session on it and it will get your blood pumping in 10 min or so for sure. Before this we had a cheap Franklin one. It broke...both the net and the metal frame. This one is much better made for sure and hopefully the net will hold up.As others have said the instructions are sadly lacking but really spend some time analyzing it and how it is designed and works before you go putting it together and you'll get it. I chose to put some bolts in place of the pins in some of the places. I also mounted mine to two long boards since it's in the basement and I left the long base part off to get it closer to a wall. this worked great. With the net...yes, do the corners first and then alternate top/bottom and sides all the way around like you would a trampoline. I also put the bungees from the old Franklin one on but of course this is not necessary. But, I did utilize a tool that came with our trampoline and it helped a TON. You may want to get or fashion a tool like this to help you stretch the bungees on. It was actually a cinch with this tool. (They should just include one.) Also, see the pictures to see how I decided to attach the bungees to spread out the tension. I think this is better and experimented with bounce-back etc. This seemed to work the best.I think the only one that would rival this for baseball would be a Ruckett but they are smaller and I wanted one that had a straight face for a predictable bounce-back. I could only imagine this would be great for lax as well!SEE PICS AND ENJOY!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is going to be perfect for my 10yo
Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2023
Just assembled this for my 10yo baseball player. It is sturdy and seems like it will do great. We will keep it outside most of the time, so I hope it holds up

I HIGHLY recommend getting a hook tool like the photo shows to help pull tension and attach the hook to the bungee. These usually come with trampolines.
