This has plenty of experiments & some games that are fun and educational. The included booklet not only explains how to setup the experiments but also gives a good summary of the concepts, so you dont need to send them back to screens for researching.
It definitely suits 8+ but there are some experiments which 7 will enjoy, like the infamous levitating rings & some fun with iron bits. They can then grow into this.
Now the hard part. Experiments require some movements (like moving hands & eyes & using your brain) which children nowdays are not used to, so parents need to work with the kids to at least start things off.
Note that, these 30+ experiments are not meant to be completed in a single go. Do, one or two at a time to keep kids interested.
