I love these steps. My 21' Rockwood Mini Lite only has one narrow pull out step and short handrail and I needed something to give a bit more stepping room when coming out of the camper. I put the camper step in and put this one up to the entry way. It worked out perfectly and is much safer going in and out of the camper. It feels strong and durable but lightweight enough to store in my pass-through compartment. I would highly recommend this step.
Just perfect. Use these steps for my travel trailer and they're just the right height, width and depth. Look nice, are sturdy, heavy (so don't move around), but not so heavy you can't easily move them if you need to with the handle. Have used them on both cement and dirt, SOLID, sure footing. There's a rectangular cut-out on the back side in the center, roughly 7"- my cat (I discovered) enters through. Quite nice, he can hide if he's spooked, or snooze. The tops of the steps are cross-hatched for traction, also good for wiping dirt/mud off of your shoes. And the gray color doesn't show the dirt. Superb quality, worth the money, couldn't be happier with them. UPDATE: Have had a slew of workpeople coming and going, utilizing these steps, for months now and they're still just as solid (the prior steps buckled and collapsed), so I can attest that they stand up to heavy use.
This light weight steps are working out great. I'm using them to get in and out of my hot tub, they would also work great for an RV. I am very pleased with this purchase, and the company sent me a thank you card for ordering from these...that's a first! I highly recommend this product if you are looking for portable steps.
Needed a more sturdy, and less steep entrance & exit for our camper. We have an older, big dog and he struggles to get up the single step. Also, I'm big (350 lbs.), but still fairly active and agile, but stumbling out of the camper at 3 am to let the dogs go pee was becoming quite an adventure. And then hoisting a 100 pound dog back into the camper at 3:05 am was not doing my back any good. These steps are solid, sturdy, and stable. It gives "just a bit" when I put my weight in the middle of the step, but seems to be holding strong.
First the disclaimer—watch your fingers if you grab this by the storage hole in the back. Sliced a chunk of skin off in one, quick grab. For that reason the price should be half or 2/3 what it is (you pay for quality, and sharp edges that cut skin with one lift is not high enough quality for the price.). ^Fixed above with duct tape to cover all the sharp plastic edging, but should not have to do that.
Otherwise these steps are great for the reason I bought them—as a less expensive alternative for my elderly labrador retriever to climb in and out of our SUV. It also doubles as his headrest (if you have an older dog you understand their need for a headrest also.). Since he has the backseat to himself I just put the steps right in with him facing him and he rests his chin on the bottom step while he sleeps for the ride.
