Table arrived today. Sturdy, not too overly heavy but seems well made. I put a glass top on it and it looks nice. Downside - - IT'S BROWN. The picture makes it looked "white-washed" or shabby chic. NOPE - not even close. I even sent a photo of it to my mom when I ordered it and she came over today and said, "Whoa, it's a lot darker." So it's not just me. A previous poster mentioned a strong smell and if I sit super close to it, I can smell an odor. It's not horrible though. Just wish the picture color had been more close to the actual product. Brown. blech

Came sooner than expected in a huge box. It is not exactly as pictured. Other reviewers stated some gray in reeds and they are right. However this works into my decor nicely. Hollow inside and cannot use for storage. As others said it won’t support drinks as top is bumpy due to the natural weaving. A glass top would be gorgeous but expensive. I use a large serving tray permanently on top and it works perfectly holding drinks. I love it because it’s so different than other coffee tables. Highly recommend if you are okay with the gray tones.

I waffled on buying this table for a year, but when I saw the prices rising and availability declining, I decided to try it, even though I wasn't sure it would work and knew it'd be a big pain to return. Well, i love it. It works great in my smallish living room and is plenty spacious enough for pretty and practical things on top. It's built much sturdier and heavier than I expected and the the bottom is lined with some heavy duty fabric. The weave is very tight and strong, nothing loose to worry about. I'm super happy with it.
