I even bought the drill-bit set to go with it and it's been a great addition. Easy to swap out the bits, change direction, recharge the battery. I got a cheapo cordless drill last year locally and it failed in a year. So I ditched that unit and got this Black & Decker cordless drill and it works great! It took maybe 12 hours to charge....no biggie. It works great....easy to use....comes with one drill/screwdriver bit and reversable. Plus, finding replacement batteries for this drill will be easier than that other one I had. 5 stars on this great B&D cordless drill....it works well enough for me. Not sure if it would totally replace a regular drill....but I will update my review later on.

I am very pleased with this little cordless variable speed drill. I found this 12-V more powerful than the 18-V Hyper Tough brand I bought at Walmart, which had problems from the start. It is light and holds a decent battery life. So far I've used it for small jobs around the house and it has worked very well. I have not tried it on heavier tasks but I have an electric drill for heavier usage if needed. I highly recommend it.

Very basic, no frills drill. I bought this as someone who needs a drill only very occasionally, wanted the convenience of a cordless, and rarely for anything of a particularly large scale. If you had a big project, I'd imagine you'd be wanting to buy something maybe on the next tier up at least. This thing is what I might call "premium basic." It did what I needed it to do, so for me it's perfectly adequate. There's nothing serious I can fault it for. I'd say it's still a step up from those awful random no-name ones you can pick up at Walmart and the like. You can still tell it's kinda cheap though. I bought it as part of an attractively priced package deal, so I consider it worth the money. If you're looking at buying it at full price though, you may want to just bite the bullet and buy the next tier up and have something that might last a bit longer in the end.

I bought this drill after my old 18v B&D drill finally gave out on me after about 12-13 years of intermittent use for the odd household and hobby tasks I required of it. This new 12v B&D drill is not made nearly as well. It arrived with something bent in the head, this caused a quite noticeable wobble in the drill bit. It seemed unsafe to me and definitely not the quality I was expecting out of B&D so I returned it. I give this little drill 3 stars because it is affordable well balanced and has excellent power for its size. If you want to give it a chance, I recommend buying from a vendor that ships with Amazon so you have 30 days to return it for a full refund if you get a bad one like mine. As always Amazon's customer service was excellent.

The chuck is not serrated ( it does not have grooves on the inside ) so it's not holding the drill bit in place and the drill bit will remain in the piece of wood until you take it out with a VISEGRIP so this drill is useless. In conclusion

Si lo quieres para realizar una remodelacion de la casa o trabajar por las tardes desgraciadamente no te sera útil, para cargarse requiere de 8 a 9 horas y la batería te dará solamente de 20 a 30 min de uso dependiendo de la intensidad de uso.
