Important information
Safety Information
For your safety, never share a lancet with another person. These are sterile devices; do not use if protective disk has been damaged or removed.
Directions
Wash hands with soap and warm water. Dry well. Load lancet into lancing device and twist off protective cap. Choose a spot on the side of a different finger each time you take a blood sample. Follow lancing device manufacturer's instructions for obtaining a blood sample. Eject lancet from lancing device and snap-on safety cap before discarding. To minimize the pain of testing, change lancet after every use to ensure the least painful puncture. Lancets become dull and painful when reused.

1. I found several websites specialized in diabetes-prevention products that have these same lancets even much, much cheaper. However, the shipping cost made me turn to Amazon Prime. But if you normally purchase diabetes-prevention products, and your shopping cart includes more than this sole 1 item, it might be cheaper for you to buy there.
2. You MUST make sure what GAUGE your lancet canister use before buying any lancets. Contour uses 28 gauge, but there are other that use 30 or 33. Gauge is related to the diameter of the lancet. So if you buy the wrong gauge, either it would be too loose or too big it won't even go into the canister. Be careful.

I needed a thicker gauge because the 30 gauge doesn't seem to penetrate my skin. These 28gauge do. I noticed in some reviews of lancets a complaint that the little caps were difficult to put back after using the lancet. They are not meant to be re-fitted in the same hole. I turn them flat and insert the used point into the flat side. That way, you can tell if it was used at a glance.
