Product Description

Our most popular work boot – now built in Portland, ore. We’ve developed a new vibram quarry outsole and upgraded the midsole to a single, solid piece for increased longevity. We've also updated the collar liner to be instantly comfortable and re-engineered the placement of the triple-stitching to reduce wear and tear over time. Using our universal 610 last, the US-made quarry has the same fit and feel as its predecessor.

At Danner, they are craftsmen. They pay attention to details. They forgo quantity for quality, with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them.

i love these boots, but I expect them to come as pictured. I know it's a minuscule detail, but Im concerned about them not wearing as well without the bootlace holder. Additionally, with them being so expensive, these type of details shouldn't be missed.

Owned 3 other pairs of Danner Men's Quarry 8 inch BL work boots in the past, but were made in China. Purchased the same size online (9.5D) and they are too small. Maybe because they were made in the USA instead of China the sizing is different. Unfortunately, I will have to return them and order the next size up.

I bought a pair of these after coming from the Timberland Hyperion line because I bought a pair of Danners before and liked the way they felt and looked. This boot if warn in cold conditions or walking on concrete all day is not very comfortable. Might be better buying different insoles? The first pair of Danners I remember being comfortable. After a month or two of use I started getting back, knee and hip pain. The out soles become stiff in the cold and it was said before they become like hockey pucks and slick.

I love the way they look and like the re-craft ability option that comes with them. I would recommend these for once in a while use and if you are working outside and only walking on soft surfaces.

To start off I had a pair of quarrys when they still made them over seas. I got mine at a good price. I work at FedEx ground loading. They were my everyday work boot for 6 years. These boots were my camping boot. My dirt bike boot, go cover them in mud in the weekends. I cut wood in them every year. And they were my primary hiking boot I would pack in to the base of the cascades and summit the three sisters in them. This is very demanding terain and the quarrys just kept going everything I three at them. After 6 years I decided on another pair that I just got through Amazon on a killer deal. So I have even higher hopes for made in USA and better design.

After owning these boots for about 3 years, I feel like I can make an informed review. I’ll start off with the stuff I like about the boots. 1. I like the fact that it is an all leather boot. 2. I like the Vibram outsole. 3 Unfortunately, I don’t have a third one.
Now I’ll hit the stuff I don’t like. 1. The leather is super soft and gets torn up very easily. 2. The Vibram outsole is solid, so it is super hard to walk on for over 8 hours a day regardless of the surface you’re walking on. 3. There is WAY too much padding in the boot, to the point you have to re-tie the boots multiple times a day as the stupid foam padding compresses as you walk. 4. You can’t get the boots without a stupid Gore-Tex liner. While the boots are “waterproof” that only last for a year or two before that breaks down, so then not only are your feet hot all the time especially in the summer, but then they still get wet because the liner eventually breaks down. 5. I’ll say it again there is too much dang padding. 6. Finally, like with almost all mass-produced boots, the insoles are trash.
Get rid of the Gore-Tex liner. Get rid of all the padding. Upgrade the leather to something heavier. Make this a unlined heavy weight non-padded work boot that will actually be worth getting resoled. The Vibram outsole is the most durable part of the boot, but by the time it wears out, the rest of the boot will be shot so it won’t be worth getting re-soled.

Easy break in, great comfort.
Work in quarries daily, on rock, dirt, and concrete. Soles wore out and wore through in less than 5 months.

Hate to say it but I have worn danners forever, they were always good boots but this pair are garbage 4 months and there is a hole in the toe. I run equipment so it's not like they get a lot of abuse. Workmanship seems first rate but their leather supplier sucks. Leather is to soft and thin for a work boot. Over seas made boot lasted about 10 times as long
