Fender's mustang electric amplifier is the only line that has software interface ... The Fuse software takes a bit time to navigate in order to be proficient. But once you get the hang of it, you will love it like I do :) the voicing of this amplifier works well for both electric and acoustic guitars .. I used it for my Gibson LP studio, Martin GPCPA5, and the Marin backpacker travel guitar (with Cherub WCP-60G acoustic pickup).... I would say for the acoustic, it is as good as the Fishman acoustic loudbox mini. 24 modifiable amp presets are more than one will need ... If you buy this unit, I urge you to learn the Fuse software interface to maximize the potentials of this 40-watts amp... It might take you a while to master all the bell and whistles but it is all worth it. The MP3 1/8" Jack is great for listening to your portable phone / MP3 players (also can play your guitar along to the MP3 tune in order to learn the original song timing).. Headphone is great to practice without distributing others in the next quarter mile radius :)) tuner is accurate and easy to use... Please read the menu before operating the unit to maximize your understanding . Please note the "gain" knob is only to be used if you want the distortion effects (for the heavy rock-and-roll and heavy metals players) . I like the natural and jazzy bass sounds so I use "0" on gain for my customized saved presets (original 24 amp presents all have much gains from what I recall)... Took me a couple months to realize the gain is doing distortions since my other Fishman loudbox mini acoustic amp is using the gain knob for instrument input volume instead of having a separate knob for that. This Fender amp has separate volume and master volume knob which is wonderful ... I would recommend this amp to you if you have both the electric and acoustic/electric guitars ... All you need is this unit ...this amp voicing is good for both...
I also own and play through a Fender Super Champ X2 which is all tube. After receiving the Mustang I V2, I tried them both out side by side. I expected the Mustang to fall short of the amazing rich bodied sound that my (all tube) Super Champ puts out. I was very wrong. Although my tube amp was $380 and this solid state Mustang was only $120 the Mustang is a very close competitor. It's the same speaker size, and the sound is rich and clear. Solid state technology has come a long way in the last few decades. Even the distortion sounds clean and warm, none of the harsh "transistor breakup" that I remember back in the mid to late 90's. If my daughter ever decides to sell it, I'll buy it back from her!
My bottom line is this; with all the great features this amp packs, the quality of materials and build, and the amazing sound that Fender has achieved for a very low price, this is the amp to buy and own for years. Way to go Fender! You have done very well.

Coming from a Fender Frontman 10G and an old 20W Peavey, this amp is amazing. It's loud and clear, and the range of presets (plus 9000+ amp model patches I grabbed off eBay for $10) the range of sounds and virtual pedals is unreal.
You don't have to connect to a PC, but it's worth the very minimal effort (there is also an android app you can connect to via OTG cable). I've seen some complaints about no clean setting, while I do agree a basic clean preset would be a good idea, it is very easy to achieve this and pretty much any desired sound through Fender Fuse.
