My 1st Milwaukee drill endured some tough projects and lasted about 7 years until it finally quit.
This drill/driver has 3 speeds and is lightweight.
I'm s 63 year old Lady and I'm able to handle this drill within wearing myself out.
This had a light that comes on when the power button is pushed so visibility is good when drilling into smaller places that aren't easy to see.
Lots of power and is absolutely durable.
Rechargeable altho I purchased the tool only and purchased batteries separately to go with this.
I'm a Milwaukee girl!
Apart from the inconvenience listed above, the drill is the right price, with good ergonomics. It has a belt clip, 1/2 in chuck, LED light, and battery charge indicator (ON A 12 VOLT!!!).
As far as power goes...just this weekend I was using it with a 4" hole saw to drill holes in drywall, and I was feeling the drill torque my arm before hanging up in the material. This drill is definitely more powerful than the 3/8" non-fuel version (which i also have). A few weeks ago I was building a shed and driving a lot of 3" screws...it did not let me down there either.
I may not be a professional tool user, but I am the ultimate weekend warrior and as such, I am looking for tools that do not break the bank, yet have the features I need. Overall, this drill has a lot of power, and adequate battery life to drive a lot of screws. I have a become a fan of the Milwaukee M12 line...I have bought and used tools by a LOT of manufacturers: Ryobi, Bosch, Porter Cable, B&D...all using 18volt and above, but my favorite is the M12 line...with Porter Cable being the second (especially if i need a multitool...the PC multitool is the best on the market IMO)
