Rat Zapper Ultra Rat Trap

Kills Large Rats with Humane, High-Voltage Shock

Get rid of large-size rats quickly and effectively with the Rat Zapper Ultra Rat Trap. From set-up and use through cleaning and maintenance, each zap will be a snap thanks to the easy-to-use design. This humane rat trap kills rodents using a high-voltage shock. Since rats are able to restart their hearts, the shock is applied for 2 minutes to ensure higher kill rates.

Mess-Free Cleanup

With the Rat Zapper Ultra Rat Trap, cleanup is a breeze. Unlike standard rat traps, you don’t have to touch or look at dead rodents. The rat is contained within the Ultra-sized kill chamber, which hides it from sight, while the indicator light lets you know when it’s time to empty. After a kill, just dump the dead rodent into the trash without having to touch it.

Designed for Indoor Use

Designed for indoor use or anywhere it won’t be exposed to outdoor elements, the Rat Zapper Ultra Rat Trap is perfect for placement in attics, garages, basements and sheds. The trap does not use any poisons or chemicals, but as with any electronic device, it use with caution around children and pets.

Trap Details

  • High-voltage shock kills rodent
  • Light indicates kill or low battery
  • No-touch, no-see cleanup
  • Kills one rat per setting
  • Kills up to 60 rats per set of batteries
  • Requires 4 "D" batteries (not included)

How the Rat Zapper Works

The Rat Zapper Ultra is equipped with smart circuit technology that senses when a rodent enters the trap. Once the rodent is inside, the rat steps on the metal plates, completing the circuit and the trap delivers a continuous shock for 2 minutes. Each time the trap catches a rat, the light on top of the trap flashes red to indicate a kill. For easy, hygienic, no-touch, no-see disposal, simply tip the trap to deposit the dead rodent directly into the trash.

Easy 4 Step Setup

Insert Batteries

Remove the battery cover. Insert 4 “D” batteries into the battery compartment before replacing the cover.

Bait

Apply a high-protein bait, such as peanut butter, to the back wall of the trap using a Q-tip to avoid leaving your scent.

Place

Locate an area with signs of high rodent activity or place lengthwise along the wall where rodents prefer to travel.

Turn On

Activate by flipping the switch to the 'ON' position. A green light will blink once to indicate the trap is functioning.

Product Description

The Rat Zapper Ultra Rodent Trap offers you more kills and longer stand by times. This trap is perfect for larger rats (and mice too), ongoing rodent infestations and commercial applications. The kill chamber is larger than the Rat Zapper Classic. Bait with ordinary pet food or another high-protein bait (peanut butter,etc.). Mice and rats enter the chamber and are dispatched with a powerful jolt of electricity. If they'll fit in the chamber, the Rat Zapper will dispatch them. No blood, no gore, no mess and no poisons to endanger your pets or the environment. Flashing kill light tells you when you have a catch; simply tip the Rat Zapper and let the dead rodent slide out. Dimensions: Approximately 4 in x 4.75 in x 11.5 in. Approximately 60 kills with one set of 4 alkaline "D" cell batteries (not included). Easy to use and reusable.

It takes patience but it works!

It takes patience but it works!
I purchased my Zapper in 2016. Tried various baits and locations and no luck, nada, nuthin'. Rats were tripping old style snap traps, stealing bait and having a great time in my backyard just not in the Rat Zapper. I also disliked having to bring it in if there was any chance of precipitation. So....2019. I make a rain "shed" for the Zapper and raise it up off the bottom of the shed to prevent it shorting out. Also added a old thin cushion on top as added protection from hard rain (see pics). I baited the trap and nothing for two weeks.I caught the flu (hey, I caught SOMETHING!) over Xmas. Forgot about the trap for about 6 days. Figured if it had gotten something it'd be pretty vile by the time I remembered. Figured the trap would never work for me and I'd just pitch it in the trash. But lo and behold, I go to check and can see (no way, is it really?!) a RED light through the back of the "shed". Ohhhhh Yea....and there's a tail out the front. GOT ONE!I rebait the trap yesterday and this morning....RED LIGHT & TAIL. Again!!! Delirious with joy. Fresh bait is in and can't wait for the next zapped rodent. My advice is as much patience as you can find. Then add a bit more. I agree that rats are extremely intelligent and wary of new things in their environment. My setup had to sit for several weeks before they began investigating it. I know there was rat activity going on since they were eating bait blocks and I could see their droppings. Pic is todays fried rat, yesterdays was larger but I wasn't digging him out for a photo op!Bait. I'm using Pupperoni sticks. Get the stinkiest you can find. Break a stick into a few pieces and place as far back in the Zapper as possible. You want Mr. Rat to get all the way in for maximum zzzzzapping. Put a few out front as advertisement! The Pupperoni stays pretty fresh, doesn't attract birds or squirrels (like nuts or seed does) or ants. Easy cleanup vs. peanut butter, but ya gotta find what works. Two years of trying and almost tossing it in the trash out of frustration, but this Rat Zapper works. It really works!!!
