I was looking for a pair of flip flops to use at camp or for winter stream crossings when I go backpacking. These were the lightest ones I could find and they work great for my purpose.

I have used them a dozen or more times so far over the last couple years and when I wear them, I use them hard climbing hills, walking on rocks, etc. They have held up pretty well aside from the logo coming off.

The foam is pretty firm and I wouldn't use them for daily use, but they do the trick for my purposes!

TL:DR I bought these shoes for my son going to college, he lived in a dorm with community bathrooms. He liked these shower shoes, they were comfortable, never slippery and dried very quickly.

Yes, in a moment of MOM panic I bought my son shower shoes. Yes, he has flip flops and other options. Don't tell me you've never shopped your feelings before! Now we all know once you make a purchase with amazon you get a bunch of emails requesting reviews. I was having FEELINGS people! And I didn't like the reminder that my kid was leaving soon every time I saw an email. This was my response to the 425th review request.

Y'all. Relax. I bought these for my kid going off to college. He hasn't worn them yet. Don't rush it! I'm not ready for him to wear these stupid shower shoes yet. I have 3 more weeks people!!! Then my firstborn leaves and goes 4 hours away from home to college and it's super exciting and sad all at the same time. I'm having all the feelings about it. Quit reminding me.

I bought these in hopes of finding a light pair of camp shoes for backpacking. Being 6' 4" with a size 13 foot, this ain't easy. They are light - 185 grams / 6.5 oz for the size 13. They are comfy and fit a little snug (in a good way). With the tread and the snug fit, I can't wait to do a water crossing in them. I liked them so much, I bought two mores pairs because things I like tend to disappear off of Amazon.

I read other reviews before purchase and ordered a size larger as a result. Sizes do run on the smaller side so I would suggest you order up as well. They work well for shower sandals as they don't hold much water and do dry pretty quickly as others have stated. My only compliant is that my left sandal has a small hole (not all the way through, but a manufacturing defect) which may hold a little bit of water itself. Probably could send it back to be replaced but I didn't think it was necessary and needed to use them right away. They work well for the cost.

I have to be honest with you, when I buy cheap stuff, I really do not expect much, but sometimes somethings are not just cheap, they are junk.. This item falls in that group and the rating for these shoes is below the zero rating.. They would have been too expensive even if they were free... At 63 years old, I have had a lot of flip-flop type shoes on my feet, some were poor, some were outstanding, but none of them hurt my feet, they just were not built well, and were produced from cheap material, so they did not last long.. Now we come to these THINGS, I do not know if the material is good or bad, but the build is horrible. As soon as I slipped my feet into them, they hurt my toes. The molding process left sharp ridges on each side of the toe post that goes between the toes.. And, I have no earthy idea what type of person modeled for these shoes, as they are not even shaped like you foot on the inside... Amazing... So, what did I do and why? Because I had just joined the YMCA and wanted shower shoes fast, I elected to make these work, if I could.. Being a craft person by hobby, I was able to scrap away enough of the molding stuff to stop the cutting effect on my toes.. Once that issue was under control, I decide to give them a try in the shower room at the Y.. That happened yesterday.. They survived the shower test, but were so uncomfortable, I think they will not be around here long.. As soon as I can find another product to replace these things, these will go in my trash can.. The best thing that can happen here is that I can save you time, money, and disappointment, by telling you to skip this product and go to something else... This is an all around loser item....
