Product Description
Sanlinx Inc. is the pioneer for home-use soy milk makers. Since it introduced the original soy milk maker in 1999 to the North American market, every generation of its soy milk maker has continuously delighted customers. The SoyaPower G4 is the newest model for the 1.3 liter model.
The G4 uses premium components such as the low noise DC motor, solid state power control, and #304 stainless steel. The microprocessor and the three sensors (temperature, water level, and boil-over) continuously monitor and control the grinding and heating process to make perfect milks, soups, or porridges. With the 8 preprogrammed function, it is the most versatile milk maker on the market.
We also added features that no other brands have:
1. Raw function - Even though soy milk must be cooked, some vegan milks, such as almond milk, are best made raw to preserve maximum nutrition.
2. Function for making hot chocolate - simply add chocolate powder and water, and with a press of a button, perfect hot chocolate will be ready in 10 minutes!
3. Perfect Grind Technology - temperature-controlled soaking, grinding, and cooking cycles. The temperature sensor allows optimal temperatures for each phase of the process. Hot soaking is best at 180 degrees F. to remove the "bean" taste, yet not overcooks the bean before grinding. Similarly, grinding is best at between 180 - 190 degrees, and cooking must be done at between 200 - 210 degrees to ensure the inactivation of the enzyme inhibitors. Without a temperature sensor, a machine would either overcook the beans at the hot soaking and grinding phases or undercook at the cooking phase.
The SoyaPower G4 is Sanlinx's most premium current smaller soy milk maker.
With a capacity of 1.3 liters, the SoyaPower is perfect for smaller batches and smaller families.

I didn't even know that these machines existed until last month. I was searching and reading reviews for a masticating juicer that could handle nuts. I'm so glad that I didn't buy one of those, as this machine is just so perfect for my needs, it's exactly what I wanted. The ease of the whole process is great. I love that the inside and the grinding apparatus are made of stainless steel. So easy to clean! After pouring off all the milk, I just rinsed with clean water, dried it well and put it away. I have a very tiny kitchen, and the size is right, like a big thermos.
The first batch I made did not taste good at all, even though I went through the preliminary wash step as instructed in the manual. I'm not sure if it was because of the machine, or if the beans that came with the machine were old; I'll never know, because the next batch I made with the fresh Laura soybeans was delicious.
To make a liter of soy milk I use a rounded cup (the one that came with the machine) of dried soy beans, soak them for 8-12 hours, put them in the machine and then fill the machine to the second water mark and start the machine; after straining off the bean pulp (okara) I add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1/4 tsp salt, and mix well. It is slightly sweet this way; I could probably get away with half the sugar, but I like it this way over my cereal in the morning :)
In case you are wondering what to do with the okara, it makes great crackers! I will try to remember to come back and provide instructions, but my 2 year old is in need of attention, so I will have to stop typing.
I hope you found this helpful
EDIT: 7-24-2014: I just timed the whole process... A minute or so to measure the soybeans, rinse them, and cover them with water. After that, you are just letting them sit for 8-12 hours. Once I pull out the machine, it takes 10 minutes from start to finish, including washing the soy milk maker. So, less than 15 minutes hands on (if you wash as you go), but you have to plan ahead for the soaking time.
I still have to work out the measurements for the okara crackers, so that update will be coming in the near future I hope.
I am looking forward to trying the many milk varieties available with this machine, such as rice, nuts, and other grains. There's also a porridge setting that I'm planning to use to rock some Scottish and Irish oats. Overall, a surprisingly easy to use and worthwhile purchase!!
I bought this product on Jan. 29th 2017, it stopped working the other day, I only used it for almost 4 months. A stain thing came out of the motor and went to the shaft. It seems it was burned. A lot of steams came out when it was working and then it stopped working. How come I spent over a hundred dollar and only used it for 4 months? Can anyone help me? I added a photo here
