Gives You the Choice of Bake, Convection, Broil or Rotisserie
Don't want to heat up the entire kitchen or slave away over a hot burner? No sweat – the Hamilton Beach Countertop Oven provides extra capacity for second oven convenience as well as four ways to cook: BAKE, CONVECTION, BROIL and ROTISSERIE.
A 9"x13" baking pan can be found in most kitchens in North America, used for making everything from lasagna to brownies. Not only does this oven fit two 9"x13" pans at once, unlike conventional ovens without convection technology, the Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie comes fully equipped. Instead of having heat come from just one central area and no fan to "stir-up" or circulate air evenly all over, this oven's convection technology utilizes a top and bottom heating element and a built-in fan to distribute heat evenly for a uniform temperature. That way, bakers can choose between traditional baking – ideal for cupcakes, cakes and soft baked goods – or convection baking – ideal for a crispy pizzas, cookies or even taquitos. Use the rotisserie feature for roasted chicken, beef roast or pork roast. Note: Only upper heating elements will be on during the rotisserie mode.
TIPS & CARE
Before cooking with the oven, always PREHEAT for approximately 5 minutes. Check pan manufacturer's directions for oven-safe rating. Do not cover the crumb/drip tray or any part of the oven in aluminum foil (causes overheating); however, use of aluminum foil to partially cover casseroles or some foods is acceptable. Visit foodsafety. gov for more safe cooking temperature information.
The full-width crumb/drip tray slides out from the front, allowing easy washing. For the best oven performance, cleaning should be done regularly. Unplug first and allow oven to cool before interior and exterior cleaning. For interior cleaning: wipe oven walls, bottom tray and glass door with a damp, soapy cloth, but do not scratch or damage heating element tube. Repeat with a damp, clean cloth. All removable parts should be hand washed in warm, soapy water as well. For stubborn interior stains, use a plastic scouring pad. For exterior cleaning: wipe oven walls with a damp cloth, but do not use abrasive cleansers or metal scouring pads; this can scrape/scratch the surface.

Hamilton Beach wins it for me. First, you can't beat the price, especially since it compares favorably with the Breville Smart Oven which sells at a much heftier price. Looks are fabulous and it fits so nicely on my countertop. It appears to be of outstanding quality but light-weight enough to carry to another room. Knobs are clear and precise. It has a two-hour timer and shuts off automatically when the timer goes off. But best of all, you can bake two items at a time in this oven since it comfortably holds two racks. It comes with two baking pans, two wire racks, an insert rack for the baking pans and a rotisserre set. It does not have a toaster but that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for a good old fashioned oven/broiler/convection.
I ordered this for all the above reasons PLUS I bake my own yeast bread and I read a review that one customer had marvelous results with it.
The only downside I noticed is that there isn't a light inside which I would have appreciated. But for the price, that's not a big deal. I was able to get it on Amazon for $89!! And, it was delivered free within two days of ordering!
The oven does get hot so I made sure there was enough clearance around the oven although the brochure never mentions that.
I only just received it today and I'm having great fun playing with it.
UPDATE: Still loving my Hamilton Beach Countertop Oven. It is very accurate and does a fantastic job of baking. I wouldn't be without it and if Hamilton Beach ever comes out with an even larger inside dimension oven, I'm getting it on the spot.
UPDATE 11/1/12: Still loving my Hamilton Beach Convection Oven. My one callout...and I believe it could become a serious one...is that it is so easy to get a bad burn from this product. Tonight was the worst burn I ever received. The problem for me is the glass door. It is so immensely hot that my finger just quickly brushed against it tonight and I immediately got a big blister...it was THAT hot. While I would not hesitate to purchase another Hamilton Beach countertop oven, I would like to make the following suggestion...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put a black thin silicone edging around the entire glass door to prevent burns. It's those sneaky burns from the edge of the glass door that are so painful. Thank you.
I've used it daily for the last 6 weeks. I've rotisseried beef and pork roasts as well as several chickens. One of the chickens was 6 lbs and with some seriously ceative trussing, it managed to fit. With the chickens, I remove them from the skewer, put them on the drip pan and crisp them up using the convection setting for about 10-15 minutes.
Speaking of convection, while I do have a noticeable hum, I am not experiencing the horrible, loud rattle some people have reported.
My observations:
1. It heats to the correct temperature on every setting - bake, broil, rotisserie and convection. I have tested its BAKE accuracy at 200, 350, 375, 400 and 450 degrees. It will go up and down a bit as it cycles on and off but it maintains within 20ish degrees. Read the Frazer Run Properties review then go their profile to look at the pictures of how to set the temp correctly.
2. It will fit a 6lb chicken with creative trussing.
3. It is not obnoxiously loud, does not clang nor make excessive noise using convection.
4. Gets very hot on the outside. Don't touch it, duh. The handle on the door does not get hot.
5. Fits all of my 2 qt variously shaped casseroles WITHOUT handles. Fits my 13x9 pans WITHOUT handles. Does NOT fit two 6 cup muffin pans side by side.
6. It does not toast as it is not a toaster oven which is clearly stated in its description.
This is absolutely one of the best purchases I've made in a very long time. I love this oven and I can't remember how I did without it. It's only been six weeks but I have faith it will continue to be a perfectly functional appliance. I will report back in a couple of months after I've had even more use out of it.
I highly recommend this oven and I'm pretty happy with Amazon Warehouse too. This is, however, my very first purchase using them but it makes me more likely to give them another shot. I saved about $30 going with the "like new" purchase.
UPDATE: (April 13, 2014)
Still going strong. Still no unreasonable noise with convection. Makes the best and most moist chickens you will ever eat using the rotisserie. Still holding it's temperature well. I use it near daily and I'm still loving it. And finally, I'm still thrilled I took the chance with the Amazon Warehouse deal.
Update (July 13, 2014)
I still love this oven so much! I'm still not hearing any loud or obnoxious sounds under convection. Its still heating up and maintaining heat properly. I rotisserie a couple of chickens a week and they're still turning out fantastically. I use this oven at least 4 times a week and it's still one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

Regarding size, it's quite large for a toaster oven, you can fit pretty much anything you wanna cook for 2 in there, probably wont fit a turkey though.. I haven't tried that though.
A lot of comments complain that it heats up a lot on the outside.. it does.. but thats why you use mittens. As i said this is my first oven so I'm no way an oven expert but i think it's quite normal that it heats up and i don't think it presents amy dangers if you ise mittens.
Over all, great compact oven, looks good, operates easy, makes best chicken.
