This is a fantastic travel mug. Nice capacity. I use Keurig K-Cups, and this holds the proceeds from 2 K-Cups, each run through 8 oz.

The list keeps the contents secure, and the lever is very easy to use to switch from open to closed and back. When open, the contents flow easily (but not too fast) to your mouth. The rim of the mug is comfortable to drink from.

When closed, I have left the mug on its side beside me on my couch for extended periods and not a single drop has escaped. The lid seals in such a way that even if it must be unscrewed a slight turn in order to line up the opening with my mouth, it is still sealed. I've even turned it upside down with no leaks.

The best part of this mug is its ability to maintain temperature. I made a fresh mug of hot coffee at 1:00pm and lazily sipped at it for an hour. I had to leave the house to work on a project for a couple of hours, and didn't get back to my coffee until 5:30pm. But, I was further distracted at home and didn't really get back to my coffee until 7:30pm (6 and a half hours after making the coffee). It was still hot, in fact still so hot I could still only sip at it.

I know some people with asbestos tongues that can drink the hottest coffee in big gulps. Not me, I have to let it cool slightly (not a lot, I still like it hot). I find that with the lid on, and the lever kept closed except while drinking, I can only sip at my hot coffee for at least a couple of hours. If I want to get to drinking my coffee in more than sips sooner, I find that if I leave the lever in the open position, even when not drinking, then it cools down sooner, for a very satisfying mug off coffee. (But, then, of course, I can't lay it on its side beside me on the couch, and it's vulnerable to spilling if I knock it over)

I used to drink coffee at work from an ordinary open-top ceramic mug. I got used to drinking cold coffee after returning from a meeting. With this mug, I'll never drink cold coffee at my desk at work ever again.

I recently walked out of a relatives house and left my Thermos travel mug on their coffee table. That was very distressing because I use this mug every day for my coffee. I always heat it up with hot microwaved water while I’m waiting for my coffee to brew and it keeps my coffee hot for hours.
I was searching for a “travel mug” and this Thermos mug never came up. I ordered a couple of other mugs and one didn’t keep my coffee hot and the other one had a very strange lid that was hard to control while driving. Yes I take a sip of my coffee and then put the mug back into the cupholder while I’m driving!
I finally added the word thermal to my search and my old favorite Thermos travel mug popped up! So happy! The lid is easy to open and close with your thumb. Just push the latch up to open and down to close. As I said before it will keep your coffee hot and in the summer it will keep your iced tea cold.
I did not receive this mug for free for a positive review. It may seem a little pricey but it is worth every penny. It never leaks and it’s easy to use and it does what it says it will do. I recommend the mug!

What can I say? If you want a cup that will keep it hot or cold for hours (ice lasts for hours) and you can seal where it will not leak - this is the one!! Love turning it upside down with no leaks – but seals must all be in place. Start with coffee at 6:30 a.m. and still hot at 9:30 a.m. I may have water or soda at night and just lock the lid on “close” and had ice in the morning. I find if you keep it on “close” it stays hotter longer. I wish the colored ones were the same cost, but no, so I bought the black. I received it quickly and looked fine. YES you must clean it, so if you don't want to take it apart or only use the dishwasher, leave this one alone. I personally believe the seals will not last as long using the dishwasher, my preference. I had my old Thermos for years (three I think), fell with it twice. It saved me. It absorbed the brunt of the fall so it was scratched and the handle was loose, but it still worked (that’s a great mug!!!). I’m always accidentally tipping it over on the desk or it falls on the floor and somehow it finally died where it would not stay hot and cold for long, but it still was leak proof. Before I purchased the first mug I looked for pictures of the inside which you can see on Amazon and you tube. This lid has three seals or gaskets so with the plastic pieces the lid is comprised of a total of six pieces. The screw which has a seal, the round plastic piece and the main part you drink out of which has two seals. You unscrew the nut (or plastic round piece) where the tea bag hook is, that has a seal which you can remove to clean, then the round piece comes off and you have the main seal (need to keep that seal clean and remove it) inside there is a piece that extends from the middle which also has a seal. I rinse the cup after each use and usually take it apart and rinse the inside as well. If you don't clean it frequently it may gross you out when you do from the build up of coffee, tea or whatever it is you drink. You can rinse with hot water with or without soap. You can let it all air dry or use a paper towel to wipe the removed seals and re assemble. I also use a brush to clean the inside of the cup and where you screw the cup on and the entire lid without the seals. If I haven’t lost you with all this info there is a drawback --- it is top heavy. I have had the thing come out of my cup holder going around a curve when going fast. It’s probably due to my aged car cup holder that doesn’t hold as tight as it did, but wanted to mention it. Thermos should weigh the bottom a bit more (it could double as a weight). I also put HOT water in it before my coffee goes inside. I see it as a great investment. Enjoy.

The mug arrived well-packaged and in excellent condition. It is a good mug for my car's cup holder, which I wanted. The only negative is that the handle is not a complete "C" handle as pictured - instead, it is like a "7" and the vertical part comes out at a kind of funky angle which makes it a bit annoying to hold. I use it during my morning walks, so there is no "putting it down"- it is always in hand. I am always aware that I have to cock my wrist a bit to keep it from slopping. It does keep coffee hot and i is a well-made piece apart from that.

Necesitaba una taza mas que todo para llevar el café en el carro y después de examinar varias opciones me decidí por esta.
La taza es grande, pero cabe en mi porta vasos del carro. Su agarradera también es grande lo que hace que deba de estar acomodada de cierta forma en el porta vasos, si no esta de esta manera, la agarradera no cabe en el.
En cuanto a mantener la bebida caliente, cumple con su función sin problemas. También su tapadera si la coloco en "cerrada" y volteo la taza, el café no se sale.
En cuanto su aspecto físico, la parte negra da un aspecto muy "metálico". No me gusto tanto. Me hubiera gustado que tuviera un color mas mate. El aspecto metálico la hace parecer de baja calidad para mi gusto. Las calcomonías que trae pegadas son difíciles de quitar después de varias lavadas. Eventualmente se les cae el pegamento pero después de un buen rato tallando.
Probablemente haya tazas mas vistosas, pero funcionalmente esta taza logra su objetivo.

Actualización: Después de varios meses de usos, la verdad estoy un poco decepcionado de la taza. Tengo hijos pequeños por lo que la caída de la taza al suelo era inevitable y se abolla muy fácilmente. A pesar de ser nueva, la taza ya tiene muchas abolladuras. A lo mejor una protección para la parte inferior ayudaría. Hubiera buscado una taza mas duradera y vistosa.

I drink only one big coffee a day and I like to take my time drinking it so it has to stay warm for a few hours. The mug keeps my coffee nice and hot and it doesn't leak at all. I like that the lid can be opened to the left or right, depending on which hand you're holding it with. Overall, it's a perfect mug for me. I really like the matte black finish. The only very slight drawback is that the entire lid has to be taken apart (which is actually quite easy) in order to wash it. I take it apart only once a week for a deep clean and let it air dry completely overnight before putting it back together. This is a really good Thermos product. Thank you.
