I had heard of inversion tables, but never used one until my father acquired a used one a few months ago. I tried it and then used it every few weeks. The results seemed promising. I caught the

on a lightning deal and decided to give it a shot. I'm mid-40's as of this review and I'm beginning to experience the typical office worker back problems including muscle spasms, mostly between my shoulder blades. I was particularly interested in the acupressure nodes that this model offers. The combination of inversion and acupressure made the value proposition for me.
I'm writing about three weeks after taking delivery. The assembly is easy. There are maybe five major sub-assemblies to put together. I only referenced the printed instructions. There was no need to watch the video. The Teeter is indeed high quality as I had read about in other reviews both on Amazon and other sites.
I am super happy with the results of inversion therapy! The best way I can describe it is that my back feels like it did "pre 40". Which is I really didn't notice it. More flexibility, no pain. Everyone's mileage will vary of course, but it has really helped me. I have not had a bad episode with muscle spasms since I started using the table, so I have not made a good faith effort to try the acupressure nodes. I have installed them and done some experimenting. I'm glad to have that option when I need them, but for now they haven't been as useful as I thought. This could actually be a result of what the inversion therapy is doing (stretching is relieving the muscles and therefore fewer "knots"), but I'm not sure at t his point.
I subscribe to the line of thinking that "humans are not broken" and that our (normal, non-diseased) bodies will generally take care of themselves. It's just that we bombard them with bad food, poor posture for hours on end, and other things that they really weren't meant to deal with (ref. Paleo lifestyle). Inversion therapy is a lifestyle tweak to let you get better blood flow between the vertebrae in your back. Blood flow heals. Simple as that. You really need to own an inversion table and be able to use it often to get the best benefit from my experience (or have a generous next-door neighbor!)
My biggest concerns before making the purchase were cost and the amount of space this thing would take up in my house. With the lightning deal I feel like I got good value, especially with all the features this unit offers. As for space, it does take up a significant area when in use, but it is nothing like the commitment that a treadmill is. When folded, it fits in a corner and is not noticeable. It's about 75lb. Not insignificant, but it's movable by most people, especially if you "walk it". The results are WELL worth both the initial purchase price and the space that it occupies. I would not hesitate to recommend inversion therapy to most people (do your own research and ask your doctor, especially if you have eye issues), and I am very impressed with the Teeter unit.

A nice long term back health investment...or so it seemed.
When I this table came across as an Amazon Deal of the Day, the price was too good to pass up because it was priced lower than the Costco Kirkland branded version by $60. I had been thinking about getting one of these tables for at least 5 years. I had tried one at a local Healthy Back store long before lower priced, very similar models like this one came out. The plastic table is nicely contoured and it should last since there's no foam padding to worry about. I thought the colorful mufti-sized nodes were a gimmick until I tried them. They seem to be working and seem to be just enough for my needs. If not, I'll just buy more. The table folds up very well too and have it resting against a wall with the footrest collapsed and the table inverted.As far as assembly, Teeter couldn't have made it any simpler. They seem to have thought of every possible thing. Each part is included in a tiny zip bag with a label saying what the part is for.There seems to have been a lot of thought and detail put into the design/manufacturing of the table. I see quality build and quality parts from top to bottom.Does it work? It "seems" to be doing something good for my back. I even tried traction on it. All I know is I feel stretched out and refreshed after each use. It certainly doesn't hurt to have it and be able to use it. Hopefully it will result in not reaching for the Ibuprofen as often. Being able to fold the table up and store it in a corner of the room helps. It only takes up 2ft x 2ft of floor space from top to bottom and is about 5ft tall.UPDATE: After 4 weeks, I ultimately didn't find whatever inversion table back therapy I was getting to be noticeable enough to warrant keeping it. I'm glad I tried it though. I found an intense back massage to be more beneficial.
