These hit right at the ankle. The side pockets are deep. They are nice enough I would wear them out with a shirt or hoodie for going out and about.

Great value for high quality basic men's workout tights

I've been trying to find the perfect pair of men's tights for use at the gym, out for a run, or just lounging around the house, replacing the worn-out Road Runner Sports basic tights I used for years (which aren't made any longer, having been replaced by fancier, pricier models). These CompressionZ tights are among the closest I've tried out so far. Several huge plusses over the competition stand out for me, including:

+ Great pockets! These have not one but two integrated pockets on the legs. And they're sized appropriately--I have long been jealous of women's fitness tights which all seem to have plenty of huge pockets whereas the typical men's tights have at best a pocket that might hold a locker key if that. These easily hold a large cell phone like my Samsung S22 Ultra. I can toss my wallet or ID and car keys in the other pocket if I'm out for more than just a quick stop at the gym, which is a big plus.

+ Comfortable fabric. A lot of tights at this price point are made from high-polyester fabrics which are rough to the touch. These are silky and a good weight for a base layer. They do a decent job at wicking sweat without being one of those ultra-high-tech fabrics that feels heavy or doesn't stretch as well.

+ Generally good fit. They don't have saggy knees and don't bind up around any parts of my legs uncomfortably. Part of this is the fabric is a good stretch; part of it is the construction, with flat-lock seams that stretch and move with the fabric instead of bunching up when you flex your knees or move your hips. Length is pretty good for tights that don't offer a tall option (I'm 6'4). As my measurements ran between two sizes, I sized down to the smaller of the two (XL instead of XXL) and have been pleased.

+ Price / value. I've seen a lot of basic tights that run close to a hundred bucks. These are a third of that.

The biggest downside for me is the fact that the waist lacks a drawstring, which for me means they tend to creep down a bit. The elastic seems good quality and doesn't roll like some others I've tried.

Great value for a quality product

First off, these are compression clothes, if you aren’t reasonably fit for your height, BMI, then you may have a tough time getting into & out of them, especially the shirt. Consider a larger size. Overall the quality & fit is excellent. I was a little concerned that at the price point that they would not offer the compression that I was after, but that concern was unfounded.

The cut, seams and fit are excellent with no binding, chafing or creeping after extended wear & vigorous activity. The shirt has a grip coating inside the bottom hem. It will stay in place on your skin or probably some other material but it doesn’t grip well to the matching bottoms. Not a problem as it will end up at your belt line and stay there. The shirt is cut long, around 4”-6” below your belt line. The breathability is exceptional, any better and you’ve have to run naked. Actually these are better than naked because they evaporate the sweat instead of it pouring off your body. If you are running or working out in front of a fan, you can feel the air against your bare skin. I’ve run several 5K’s in typical Florida heat, in both the shorts, & full length pants and of course the shirt. I opt for the long pants as they provide support for my calves and they are actually cooler due to the improved sweat evaporation than just the shorts. I’m considering going with the long sleeve shirt for the same reason.

Running solitary, I wouldn’t worry too much about modesty, the bottoms do a good job keeping everything in place and smoothed. If you run an event or work out around other people, then you might want to wear some running shorts. Be sure to find the lightest, thinest, no liner, side cut shorts that you can, anything worn over (or under) will feel hot. Same if you decide to wear something over the shirt. My first time out, I wore a t-shirt which was a mistake. I won’t wear anything but the CompressionZ layer unless I need the shorts for modesty.

I didn’t know quite what to expect in the way of performance but afterwards it was immediately apparent. Since I mainly wear these while running, keeping your muscles supported & keeping them from jarring/moving/flopping when they relax while your feet pound the pavement makes a tremendous difference in recovery afterwards. This was most evident in my calves. With my calve muscles slamming with each step, they’d ache for days afterwards. Keeping them supported prevents that pain and I can easily run consecutive days. The same is true for your pects, oblique back muscles, glutes etc.

Overall, I’m very pleased wth the product, a few more color selections would be really nice. Since I work out every day, I reordered several more sets to get me between washings. A great value in compression wear.

So I'm not in the greatest shape right now but at a muscular 6'1" and 235 I'm not obese and work out regularly. I got the XL mostly for my thighs and calves. The compression is nice on the legs, the legs were pretty long and got a few inches of bunch at the ankle. But my biggest issue is the pants just constantly move down. On my morning walk I had to pull them back up every few minutes. I know I've got big legs and butt but was hoping these would stay up. I'm going to give them another wear or 2 to see if it stops. If not, I'll be returning and trying another brand
