so far so great - my old Shark Professional (gray & red) iron finally died after 7 years of use. for the price - you can't beat a shark iron. great size - very ergonomic for comfortable use. tons of steam. love that none of the controls get messed with while ironing as the steam dial is tucked up into the inside top of the handle area. heat setting is an electronic button on the outer handle with indicator window on inside of handle. water fill door is very snug. only complaint would be to have a longer cord on it - but that's just my personal preference. hope it lasts as long as all my other shark iron's have in the past. great price here at amazon too compared to the big box stores!

died after 4 2/3 years of use - probably 1x week for work shirts mostly. not bad for the price! glad they are still making this model - already purchased a replacement at a better price than the original! hope to get as many years out of the new one!

Works fantastically, heats up very quickly. I can iron much quicker that with my old iron...I would recommend this for anyone! My only two complaints (and they are minimal) is that you have to push a button to select what kind of heat you want...if you plug it in and don't push the button, it won't heat up. I've forgotten several times, left the room to do something quickly while it heats, and come back to find it still waiting for me to select the heat option. My second complaint is that the water drains quickly, but that is probably because the steam works so great!

After just a few short months of weekly use, this iron failed to power up.
I called Shark at 1-800-798-7398 and spoke with Adrian, who is based in South America. Adrian was very nice and he explained to me that Shark will replace the product but I would have to pay the $12.95 shipping costs I refuse to pay for a defective product. Again Adrian the customer service rep was very respectful but couldn’t do nothing for me. I asked if they had a contact in America and was told that they absolutely could not give out their American contact information. I hope to never, ever, ever purchase a product made by Shark.
To Amazon I say shame on you for not living up to your name and standing by your customers.

My old Shark iron had some falls to the floor thanks to some cats jumping on the ironing board, so I decided to get a new one. I loved the way the former iron performed so I thought I would give Shark another try. I did read all the reviews before I ordered the new one. The only real negative I read was the difficulty people had in the roller that goes from OFF to High Heat/Cleaning. It is more difficult to turn that little knob, but otherwise, it is a wonderful iron. I also like that it holds a lot of water so I don't have to fill it as often. All in all, I really do like this iron I definately would purchase it again. I'm becoming a Shark groupie!

I could not understand why people would deduct 1-2 stars because of the manual pump function or that it broke too soon. If you really need a pump, then just buy the hand spray bottle for $2 and it will works better than the spray feature from this iron.

I use it as it is and find it very functional. It's heavy so you do not have to press down hard. The tip is very nice to iron small corner/edge. Didn't need to manually spray; I used it automatically and find it problems free. Been using weekly for several months. If I need to buy another iron or have to recommend someone, I would not hesitate to recommend this one.

You'll love it for sure. Remember, it's not an expensive spray bottle, so don't use like so.
