My Tools Won't Connect to the Wand?

We suggest checking that the brass ring has not been lost. If the brass ring is missing, the tool will not tighten onto the wand. The floor tool should stay attached to the wand when attached correctly. To attach the floor tool, be sure that the brass ring is intact with the threaded nut on the end of the wand, then align the brass ring with the groove on the floor tool to ensure a secure fit.

To place the floor tool in the wand: loosen the nut slightly and push the floor tool into the wand, with a downward pressure on the floor tool, tighten the nut. No need to overtighten. You should now be able to pull on the floor tool and it will stay in the wand, but floor tool will be able to spin freely.

To change an attachment, turn the nut to loosen and the floor tool should come out.

What do I do if I have reduced suction or suspect a clog in my ProTeam Backpack Vacuum?

  1. The most common reason for reduced performance is a clogged filter. Please check the condition of your filter as it may need to be cleaned or replaced.
  2. The hose may have holes or could be clogged. Please check the condition of your hose and clean or replace if necessary.
  3. The wand may be clogged - disconnect the wand from the hose and inspect the inside of the wand for clogs
  4. The floor tool may be clogged - disconnect the floor tool from the wand and check for debris or hair stuck in the brush and check the inside neck of the tool for possible blockage

Our vacuums are equipped with a safety feature which will automatically turn off the motor to prevent overheating and damage to motor when there is a reduction in air flow. Air flow reduction is caused by clogs and/or a dirty or full filter.

The environment and type of debris being vacuumed will determine the frequency of filter maintenance.

ProTeam backpack vacuums come with an adjustable harness. Read below to learn how to adjust it. The harness should be comfortable. Standing up straight will make wearing the vacuum more comfortable.

  1. Loosen the shoulder straps and the waist belt. Lift the vacuum and slide your arms through the straps.
  2. Connect the waist strap.
  3. Tighten the waist belt. It is very important that the weight of the unit be focused on your hips rather than your shoulders
  4. Adjust the shoulder straps so that the unit fits comfortably, but the weight is still concentrated on your hips.
  5. Connect the sternum strap.
  6. Slide the buckle up or down the strap for best fit.
  7. Thread the extension cord through the Shulte Cord Holder on the waistbelt
  8. Do not tie extension cord and power cord together. Doing so will result in damage to both cords.

While it may seem strange to get excited about a vacuum cleaner, I am THRILLED with this one!

I have owned janitorial companies for years and have been reluctant to try a backpack vacuum. I've always heard that they are awkward, heavy and don't do a very good job of cleaning a carpet. I'm happy to say those reports couldn't be further from the truth in this case.

This unit has so much suction that it will lift up area rugs while vacuuming. We stand on them now so they will stay in place and WOW do they come clean. It's very easy to maneuver while wearing the vacuum and areas that we had to go over two and three times with a standard vacuum are now clean after one pass.

I had some concerns about the noise level bothering my employees, but it's also much quieter than I expected. Honestly, it's quieter than our conventional vacs.

Here's what really impresses me... EFFICIENCY! When you own a janitorial company, time is money. This machine has cut my payroll by almost 25%! Rooms that took an hour to vacuum, are now being done in 30-45 minutes. I can tell you first hand that saving 15-30 minutes per job adds up quickly!

The price of this vacuum is incredibly reasonable. When you compare it too the Wide Area Windsor vacuum that I just replaced with this ProTeam unit, I can honestly say I'll never buy another Wide Area vac again. I paid a little over $400 for this vacuum, versus $2,500 for the Windsor Wave.

After using this vacuum for almost 2 months, I'm ready to buy another one for a new cleaning contract we just signed. This will be my go-to vac from here on.

I do have ONE complaint. The wand that the unit comes with is less than stellar. The plastic connector that holds the floor tool on fell off after about 3 weeks of daily use. I contacted customer service and they sent me to a local vendor who replaced the entire assemble the same day and at no charge. I was very happy with their speedy response to my emergency.

I have been using this vacuum for my cleaning business for about 7 months now. It is absolutely the best vacuum yet, and I have had a few. Very strong suction. I love that I have a free hand to move furniture or other things around so I can vacuum under or around them. Having the attachments right there on your belt is a brilliant idea, so easy to remove the vacuum wand and put on the attachments to do window tracks, or furniture, etc. I feel like this vacuum saves me a significant amount of time and does a much more thorough job. I bought a few extra attachments to go with it, like the spinning head and the brush head. I recomend both. I am small framed so sometimes the vacuum feels a little heavy, but the straps make it easy to adjust to your frame size. So I make a little adjustment now and then so that I can carry the weight on my waist and not my shoulders. That helps alot. Highly recomend this product!

My wife is a vacuum killer. She has killed too many to list here, but this vacuum is amazing! Truly the fastest and quietest way to vacuum our entire home. She loves it, I love it, even the kids want to use it. We have only hard surface floors and keep the horse hair brush on it all the time. I expect it will easily outlast the 2 previous Dyson's. Plus the cord that comes with it is so long we can almost reach all the main level from a single receptacale.

I use this vacuum on a job three times a week. It's a good vacuum, but I have had some trouble with two piece metal section of the metal tube, located between the attachment itself ( ex: the brush) and the hose that attached to the vacuum housing. Anyhow, the vacuum I have has a plastic piece that keeps the two metal tube sections together. It's not very good, the fastener on mine has already cracked. The center of the hose section (where the two metal tubes connect) has a plastic piece with a screw which you tighten to help keep the pieces together. Don't make the screw too tight or you will soon crack the plastic piece. I just snugged it up and it still cracked on me. This plastic piece is made poorly and will soon crack on you. When this happens, the metal tubes will come apart. I finally had to take the hose piece off my old Pro Team Vacuum and use it. The old one ( with a metal button and spring-type retainer) wasn't super durable either, but still better than this newest version with the cheap plastic retainer piece. The company needs to know that this is a bad design and re-design it this part. This one part is the only trouble I have had with the vacuum. If you do not separate the metal tube sections very much, you're fine. But if you constantly remove it to put attachments on, you will soon have trouble. I have had three Pro Team vacuums. It's a good vacuum other than that and very dependable.

Love the suction on this vacuum. The handles are a bit tricky to get on and get used to using but overall pretty good. Even though I have found other backpacks on Amazon for the half the price that work just as great I just had to try this one as I always hear Pro Teams are good. I'm sure it'll last a long time.

This item has lots of suction, light weight, long cord, slim-line and comfortable, HOWEVER, the attachments are cheap, there's no easy way to carry it and the hose detaches from the canister easily. I would also prefer a longer hose from canister to handle and attachments that are built for commercial use made available. That said... I'm happy with my purchase.

Should have bought it a long time ago. 3000sf of hardwood floor and tiles cleaned in 30 minutes. Make sure to purchase separate hardwood floor brush head. The suction is amazing to pick up dog hair, dirt, sand and dust. All inspected with a flashlight placed on the floor. Easy change of the adapter to clean doors, shelves, etc.
