This TINY "kit" has maybe $5 worth of stuff in it. The "kit" is 5-1/2" x 2" x 7-1/4".It has no large bandages, and would be worthless if you were trying to offer serious first aid in case of a road accident.Do yourself a favor: Hurry to your local pharmacy and buy a proper first aid kit--OR, buy the pieces and parts and make your own. That's what we plan to do.

I have a first aid bug-out kit with two of these and a lot of other supplies I purchased from Dollar Tree. I got this first aid kit and another similar one because this one does NOT have scissors. Each kit has some items the other kit doesn't and the kit is small enough that I was able to put it along with the other one plus a couple of freezer zip-lock bags with more items all in one small tactical backpack. I believe everyone should have a portable first aid bug-out bag with them at all times and this is a good addition to that bag.

PROs: inexpensive, abundant supplies, compact, effective treatments, extra space inside the case, lightweight
CONs: NOT waterproof, no burn treatment, no alcohol prep wipes

Short version: I took out about 50% of the bandages to free up space, and added other items I want in there (listed below). The case leaked rainwater through the surface so I might try to waterproof it.

Detailed version: This kit was fortunately/unfortunately immediately useful on the camping trip I went on this weekend. My friend burned his arm on the hot glass of our lantern. That's when I realized there's no burn treatment in this pack. However, the anti-biotic ointment, gauze pads, and cloth tape kept his burns from getting worse until we got home, which is great.

Another thing I discovered is that the case is NOT waterproof. It rained for our whole hike back, gently soaking my backpack. This Coleman kit was on top. The handy itemized list that I had cut from the cardboard sleeve and tucked inside for reference got partly soaked through the face of the kit (not the zipper). One or two band-aid wrappers got a little wet as well.

Therefore, I will be modifying this kit!

I've removed a bunch of bandages to free up space (will restock as needed), and have added: alcohol wipes, mini-toothbrush (hey why not), anti-itch creme, two condoms (you never know), medication for cold symptoms, 3"x5" anti-stick gauze pads. I plan to add some form of burn treatment, some kind of water-soluble vitamins/nutrients, possibly water purifying tablets, and maybe an extra mini-lighter (it has the space so why not). I also might try to apply some kind of waterproofing to the case.

Overall, happy I bought it!

Bought this as a backup for backpacking expeditions. I always look for the larger items in such kits as I can add small bandages easily. This was a decent price for the offering ad I didn't want to spend much as products inside do have an expiration date, and hopefully I don't need to use it much before then!
The case seems durable and should hold up well in a pack.
I did not receive a discount on this product for my honest opinion, I paid full price for the item.

This is a pretty good basic kit. I added a few extra items but there was plenty of room in the kit for those. There was a nice mix for basic first aid included but I wanted to add a few larger bandage pads. I have gone camping for many years without a first aide kit and nothing more than a few aspirin, band aides, and alcohol wipes. I feel a little better prepared with this kit. It was a lot cheaper than assembling all the items to build my own kit from scratch. If you don't have one of these in your Disaster prep kit or camping supplies I can recommend this one.

This is a great, compact first aid kit. We purchased this for a hiking trip, and it fit well in a backpack without taking up too much space. It has everything you'd need for minor injuries/ailments - except it does NOT have a scissors. We did add one to ours.

The case is sturdy and protects its contents.

I like this kit because it has everything you need. I've also added a lighter, water purification tablets and a tourniquet.

This first aid kit would be adequate for a day hike, but not an expedition. If I were on an expedition, that would be I would be far from civilization and dependent on only myself and others with me. First aid supplies would have to be a much larger and more thorough quantity and variety. This kit does the basics with lots of various bandaids and tape and anti-sting ointment and a few other handy items. You could supplement this with some items of your own, though. There is room in the container for other items, such as maybe sutures and hemostat and scissors. The kit container itself is a sturdy shell with a good zipper to contain everything. It would fit in any day pack or back pack and even some roomier fanny packs. Just get a lot more stuff if you want to go on an expedition. This is for day hikes.
