Good product, some good features, and some annoying ones too.
4 Stars
Good product, some good features, and some annoying ones too.
I just received my new Mopnado today, and couldn't wait to try it out. It was well boxed and looks to be of good quality. First and foremost. I had previously bought the competitors spin mop. I have the O-Cedars spin mop that is simpler in design and less expensive. After buying the O-Cedars, and then seeing reviews on Youtube of both products side by side, I thought that I had made a huge mistake, and decided to order the Mopnado as well. I figured, I could use one in my basement, and another upstairs - no dragging mop/buket up and downstairs. On to how I feel about it.It seems to be well made, and one thing that I loved was the fact that you can spin rinse the mop while in the water, that's the biggest selling point of this spin bucket, wheels, and handle. The last two, wheels and pull handle - I will say whatever to that. This bucket full of water is going to be heavy. I'm a big guy, and to lift it full of water to the max fill line - well, it's not easy. I can imagine anyone that is smaller, or lighter will find it quite heavy. Just being honest.I decided to use this spin bucket the same exact way that I use my O-cedars - so that I can compare them evenly, and fairly.I tried filling it in the sink, halfway in, just like the O-cedars, and it is possible. I also tried to add only half of the required water - just like I do on my other spin mop. Unfortunately, this spin mop requires you to use the max water level to effectively be able to spin rinse the mop head while in the water reservoir. I did use it with half water, and it's doable , but not as effective at spin rinsing the mop head. With the O-cedars, I can mop with only 2" of water and it's perfect. (The O-Cedars) doesn't have the spin application while the mop is in the water - frankly, I don't think it's necessary.Once you take out the newly spun / fully wet mop head, you insert carefully into the upper spin/dry basket, center it, and push down with rapid motion (you must be centered, and constant downward motion) this will remove all of the water from the mop head. Failure to be centered, will cause the mop head to wobble, just like in a washing machine. This will be a learning curve for you, but easily figured out. My O-Cedars - you just insert the wet mop head into the basket and push down on the external foot pedal - it spins the basket. I felt that the o-Cedars tends to dry off the mop head better than this Mopnado. Here is one very annoying thing - other reviewers have mentioned as well. Unless you are very, very careful removing the fully wet, dripping mop from the water reservoir, and insert carefully into the spin basket. You are going to get wet floors. I finally figured out why I was having water dripping around the back end of the bucket. Well, it's due to a bad design. The upper grayish cover of the spin basket is Convex (domed with a little drip rim) It should be Concave or bowl shaped without the little (insignificant) drip edge - it's worthless. The O-Cedars has a bowl type cover, any water that gets dripped while inserting into the spin basket goes back into the bucket. The mopnado, well... You have to be very, very careful to keep water from dripping on your floors. Once you figure that out, it's doable, but you have to pay real close attention to it. Sorry, it is what it is - it's not the best design. Mopnado should change that.Once you spin the wet mop in the basket it does tend to dry the mop head - effectively. One thing that everyone needs to know - The bucket, doesn't have any spin mechanism at all. The spin mechanism, is in the mop head. The basket just spins when you insert the mop head, it makes contact, but then actual gears are in the mop head, and thus goes around. I was't too impressed with this. Just F.Y.I. The O-Cedars gears are in the back of the pedal, and basket. It seems sturdier. The mopnado mop head seems a bit wobbly, maybe that's just the design, I wasn't impressed. i could be wrong, and after continual use, I will re-update this review. If it hold up.. I will upgrade the review and possible stars. As you begin moping the floor you hear this click, click. It's the small click, movable locking mechanism that is part of the design that positions the mop head in different setting - strait up down for rinsing, or angled for mopping positions. Not sure that is necessary, but it's annoying - that's just me. Additionally, unless you figure out the exact amount of pressure to put on the mop (difficult to explain) the mop head will tend to flip in either direction, and that's another annoyance. My other simpler o-Cedars doesn't do that.I tend to like things simply, and easy to use. This isn't a bad product, if you like more gadgets, gizmos. It does have the brush attachment, comes with two replaceable mop pads,it has the solution pumper bottle attachment (quite small), and the extender rod (which you will need), it has wheels ( almost useless) I still had to put a furniture felt pad under the front end so that the bucket will slide easily on the floor without scratching. As for the front handle - Whatever to that - Completely useless, maybe for a child. I'm not going to bend over constantly to grab open the handle and then move the bucket. My felt pad on the front, and inserting he mop in the bucket - I was able to push the very heavy bucket around. Just my thoughts on that one.The mop heads are thick and easy to put on and take off. The product does come with easy to read instructions.Prior to receiving the Mopnado, I thought that it would be my favorite - Unfortunately, that's not the case. I will continue to use the O-Cedars upstairs for my daily moping. I use it mostly with my Black Diamond Floor cleaner. If you like to mop with lots -o-water, and you want to spin wash the mop head while inside the bucket - then the Mopnado will be your choice. It does that flawlessly, and very effectively. It does spin the water off the mop head quite well - You will have to get over the occasional water dripping until you figure that out - or don't care about that - that's your choice or learning curve.Additionally, with all of that water in the bucket - it's like a tank (joking) quite heavy - also your choice - just being honest.I've included pics, and a video - hopefully amazon will upload them all. When I do reviews, these are items that i've purchase, I do tremendous amount of reading reviews, and also youtube product videos. I love when others post pictures or videos - I try to do the same. with all of the Reviews, it's actually helped me purchase perfect products. I rarely buy things that I've had problems with - I feel that the reviews are my solution to buying a good product. I hope that my honesty will help you in your choice. If you want to see my review of the O-Cedars, it's posted as well...Under Eli.. me, and with pictures. Now that I own both products, I can say that I prefer the simpler O-Cedars.. Your choice is yours, based on your needs. This Mopnado is a good product, but based on my needs, and use, it could use some improvement. I gave it 4 stars due to the wobbly nature of the mop head ( I'm fearful that it's not going to last ) , if I'm proven wrong, then I will update the review. Just being honest.

Okay, I don't usually write reviews, however, this one deserves it. First, understand, I am disabled, so that fact influences my review.
There are plenty of reviews that talk about getting it out of the box, putting the handle together etc....so I'll skip that. Suffice it to say, it's easy. Simple. Nothing to it. Takes about 2 minutes - even for me!
Use. First time out I grabbed one of the mopheads and mopped my floor with just plain hot water. UGHHH......what I thought was a clean floor, certainly wasn't (but it is now!). Now, I've always worried about mops retaining dirt, and just spreading dirt around. So, upon seeing the gross, dirty water, I did an experiment. I spun out the mop, emptied the bucket, refilled it with plain, hot water. I then rinsed the mophead in the bucket, and spun it out again. Virtually no dirt came out of the mop, which reassures me that I'm not just spreading dirt around. So, clean floor accomplished I decided that my next experiment would be with a normal days cleaning.
So, next morning, at 8:30am I grab the clean, unused mophead, attach it, and start with the dusting. I dusted the windows, ceiling fans, electronics, TV, shelves, skirting boards, you name it. All was done in no time flat, with very little effort, and virtually no dust spreading around. (a couple of clumps came off the ceiling fan, but the fan was pretty bad, so I forgave it that! LOL). Now, I have these beautiful doors going into our office. Wood, with glass panels. Lovely, but a ROYAL PAIN to clean. I usually struggle to try and get them streak free etc. Well, I used the mop head (no spray or anything) and just rubbed the glass - grandbaby fingerprints disappeared before my eyes. My office doors are now streak free, and lovely. YAY!
So, now next step to cleaning - wet moping. I have a lot of tile - Kitchen, hallway, laundry room, bathrooms........there's a lot. It's all lovely, and doesn't show the dirt (it's stone tile), so it can be misleading sometimes. I grabbed the mop head that I had designated for floors (note, I chose not to sweep first, just to see how well it did), and got to work - again, nothing but hot water. Did the Kitchen, and the hallway. Bear in mind, did the Kitchen last night, but today I attached the scrub brush to scrub the grout between the tiles (a job that normally takes scrubbing on hands and knees and is very difficult for me to do). I then went over it with the mop head once the grout had been scrubbed. The floor looks completely different now! Front lobby, other hallway, and then the bathrooms. Easy peasy. It got around the toilets, and grabbed all the nasty dust, hair and such that tends to collect in bathrooms. I also noticed that it grabbed any, and all bits of dust and debris from along the skirting boards. Something that up to now has taken either sweeping, or getting down on hands and knees. All my skirting boards (and there is a lot of wood in this house) are dirt, dust and debris free. I emptied the bucket down the shower drain. I then used the scrub attachment to scrub the shower tile (we have a large walk-in tiled shower that's about 8 feet from entrance to end). The rinsed it off with clean water. Cleaning that shower has always been a huge pain for me! (literally!)
The floors dried VERY quickly, because the mophead really doesn't feel very wet after you've spun it out. I was done, completely finished, 9:15am. And just to clarify - we live in a house that has 2200 SQ Ft, it's not a small house.
So, there you have it....my verdict....BRILLIANT!
One more point to add. For those of you that might have issues with the mop-head tipping. It's all in the technique. Don't over-reach. If you don't over-reach, and you walk WITH the mop, you will find that it doesn't tip. Using it for just 30 minutes, and I had the technique pretty much down-pat, and with how easy it makes cleaning, it's certainly worth taking the time to get the hang of it!
Finally for those few who have mentioned being worried about "scratching". Um, I don't see how, the base of the mop-head is totally soft. There is nothing sharp, or coarse on the base of the mop-head. It was certainly soft enough for me to not be at all worried about using it on the TV screens and such.
Thank you to the makes for making a product that really does make cleaning easier. No, it's not cheap, but you're getting quality workmanship (the steel spin bucket is brilliant). The wheels work great. Overall, I have no negatives on this, the only small request I would make is to add an extension onto the handle that is used for pulling the bucket, and perhaps a drainage plug would be nice too, for those of us that find lifting/tipping a challenge (although it wasn't that hard for me, and I'm disabled). I love the fact that the handle retracts automatically though.
My two mop heads are now being washed, ready for my next cleaning day......I kinda wish it came with 4 mop heads though, because I could use having a couple more. I just hate to spend even more money! LOL

Update - almost 5 years on....I still LOVE my Mopnado! We've moved overseas (military) and have had hardwood floors for the last couple of years...and my Mopnado handles them perfectly. Best system for dealing with hardwood - while also making sure you have lovely clean floors. I am buying new mop heads because mine are getting old - as an fyi - this is only my first replacement set...and I haven't had any shedding or anything, I just felt like I should probably replace them! The system has proven to be a brilliant system, hasn't broken, hasn't caused me any issues - and as a disabled person I have particular needs. This system works!

Get ready for a fun-filled cleaning adventure like never before!

From the moment the MOPNADO Deluxe made its grand entrance into my life, I knew my cleaning woes were about to meet their match. With its shiny stainless steel construction and sleek design, it looked like it was ready to tackle any mess with a superheroic flair. I could almost hear the theme song playing as I eagerly prepared for the battle against dirt!

But wait, the real magic happened when I discovered its spinning powers. With a simple push of the foot pedal, the MOPNADO Deluxe sprang into action, spinning like a tornado, ready to take on the dirtiest of surfaces. It was like watching a caped crusader in action, defeating grime with each glorious rotation. Move over, ordinary mops—there's a new cleaning hero in town!

The spinning mechanism not only saved me from the dreaded task of wringing out the mop by hand but also left it perfectly damp for efficient cleaning. No more sopping wet floors or weak, limp mops. Good system for cleaning. I actually enjoy washing the floors. I needed a mop that spins most moisture out as I have new laminate flooring. This does it easily. Mops are easy to put on and remove. Pull handle that folds neatly away. The spinning action for both the water and the spin cycle work very well. My only concern is the plastic part on the mop that pivots - I hope it holds up over time.
